Getting Tech In: Tips for Auditors

File: Hat Write Up

For those who don’t know me, my name is Patricia Krenik, and most people know me by Pat. I am a Founding Scientologist, 1951 a certificate that of all the certificates I am most proud. Coming in so early in the game has given me a unique perspective. I have followed the “experimental route” as well as “standard techAbbreviation for technology. The methods of application of an art or science as opposed to mere knowledge of the science or art itself. (HCOB 13 Sep 65).” Most of my techAbbreviation for technology. The methods of application of an art or science as opposed to mere knowledge of the science or art itself. (HCOB 13 Sep 65) I learned the hard way, starting with Book One auditingThe application of Scientology processes and procedures to someone by a trained auditor. (Dianetics & Scientology Technical Dictionary (C) 1975) and ending as a NOTsNew Era Dianetics for OT's. Done in two main sections after OT III. Audited NOTS (OT V) and Solo NOTS (OT VI & VII with OT VI being the course that trains the pre-OT how to solo audit NOTS) Note: OT IV is the OT Drug Rundown. auditor1. one who listens and computes; a Scn practitioner. 2. one who has been trained in the technology of Scn. An auditor applies standard technology to preclears. 3. a person who through church training becomes skilled in the successful application of Dn and Scn to his family, friends and the public to achieve the ability gained as stated on the Gradation Chart for his class of training...more and C/S2. the C/S is the case supervisor. He has to be an accomplished and properly certified auditor and a person trained additionally to supervise cases...MORE.

There are areas in techAbbreviation for technology. The methods of application of an art or science as opposed to mere knowledge of the science or art itself. (HCOB 13 Sep 65) that may seem contrary, such as E-Meter drills telling what an instant read is and the HCOBHubbard Communications Office Bulletin (technical bulletin) Also colloquially referred to as "red on white" HCOB's are always red ink on white paper. “Unreading Questions and Items” saying under “What is a Read” that a read is a sf or better. To clarify these points, you wouldn’t want to runUndergo processing. (Science of Survival, p.75) a major subjective action without a sf or better. A major action is a process to change the casethe whole sum of past by-passed charge. (HCOB 19 Aug 63). You wouldn’t list a question that wasn’t reading per the above HCOBHubbard Communications Office Bulletin (technical bulletin) Also colloquially referred to as "red on white" HCOB's are always red ink on white paper..

But cases have to be set up. In the Technical Dictionary of Dianetics1. DIA (Greek) through, NOUS (Greek) mind, deals with a system of mental image pictures in relation to psychic (spiritual) trauma. The mental image pictures are believed on the basis of personal revelation to be comprising mental activity created and formed by the spirit, and not by the body or brain. (BPL 24 Sept 73 V) 2. Dn addresses the body. Thus Dn is used to knock out and erase illnesses, unwanted sensations, misemotion, somatics, pain, etc. Dn came before Scn. It disposed of body illness and the difficulties a thetan was having with his body. (HCOB 22 Apr 69)...more and Scientology set up is just making sure the pc is f/ning at start of session. Probably it would be better so say that a pc properly set up for a major action will f/n at start of session, unless something has just happened that requires a rud to be flown.

So now we get to setting up a pc for a major action. This covers a wide area, from life repair to auditingThe application of Scientology processes and procedures to someone by a trained auditor. (Dianetics & Scientology Technical Dictionary (C) 1975) repair. The important point is that what we are trying to do before any major action is to get rudimentsA rudiment is that which is used to get the pc in shape to be audited that session. (SH Spec 147. 6205C17) in. All repair really is, is getting rudimentsA rudiment is that which is used to get the pc in shape to be audited that session. (SH Spec 147. 6205C17) in on a given area or areas.

While it is true that you can’t auditThe application of Scientology processes and procedures to someone by a trained auditor. (Dianetics & Scientology Technical Dictionary (C) 1975) a pc on anything over an ARCx, and must, if he has one, handle that by assessing and indicating the charge1. harmful energy or force accumulated and stored within the reactive mind, resulting from the conflicts and unpleasant experiences that a person has had. Auditing discharges this charge so that it is no longer there to affect the individual. (Scn AD)..more, LRHL. Ron Hubbard clearly states that on BPC assessment lists (this would cover every major correction list) that you handle every reaction on the meter2. Hubbard Electrometer. An electronic instrument for measuring mental state and change of state in individuals, as an aid to precision and speed in auditing. The E-meter is not intended or effective for the diagnosis, treatment or prevention of any disease. (Scn AD)...more.

A large percentage of repair may consist of repair lists, particularly on a pc who has much auditingThe application of Scientology processes and procedures to someone by a trained auditor. (Dianetics & Scientology Technical Dictionary (C) 1975). Therefore when assessing a list Method 3 (handling each read as it shows up) you must not ignore your stops, ticks, change of needle pattern, instant f/n and so on. Anything defined as an Instant Read in the Book of E-meter5. the meter tells you what the preclear’s mind is doing when the preclear is made to think of something. The meter registers before the preclear becomes conscious of the datum. It is therefore a pre-conscious meter. It passes a tiny current through the preclear’s body. This current is influenced by the mental masses, pictures, circuits and machinery. When the unclear pc thinks of something, these mental items shift and this registers on the meter. (EME, p. 8)...more Drills should be taken up. Quote from HCOBHubbard Communications Office Bulletin (technical bulletin) Also colloquially referred to as "red on white" HCOB's are always red ink on white paper. of 7 September 1964 Issue II—All Levels, PTPs, Overts and ARC1. a word from the initial letters of Affinity, Reality, Communication which together equate to Understanding. It is pronounced by stating its letters, A-R- C. To Scientologists it has come to mean good feeling, love or friendliness, such as “He was in ARC with his friend.” One does not, however, fall out of ARC, he has an ARC break. (LRH Def. Notes)...more Breaks—“A by-passed charge1. mental energy or mass that has been restimulated in some way in an individual, and that is either partially or wholly unknown to that individual and so is capable of affecting him adversely. (Scn AD...MORE assessment is auditingThe application of Scientology processes and procedures to someone by a trained auditor. (Dianetics & Scientology Technical Dictionary (C) 1975) because you clean every tick of the needle on the list being assessed.”

Especially if you are auditingThe application of Scientology processes and procedures to someone by a trained auditor. (Dianetics & Scientology Technical Dictionary (C) 1975) upper levels such as NOTsNew Era Dianetics for OT's. Done in two main sections after OT III. Audited NOTS (OT V) and Solo NOTS (OT VI & VII with OT VI being the course that trains the pre-OT how to solo audit NOTS) Note: OT IV is the OT Drug Rundown. and using a correction list do not go by any instant change in the needle. Take it up—even a stop on a rise—It may turn out to be nothing, but more often than not the pre-ot will spot something and it will move from a flick on the needle to big blowdown, f/n.

In this casethe whole sum of past by-passed charge. (HCOB 19 Aug 63), bypassing it will have left charge1. harmful energy or force accumulated and stored within the reactive mind, resulting from the conflicts and unpleasant experiences that a person has had. Auditing discharges this charge so that it is no longer there to affect the individual. (Scn AD)..more on the casethe whole sum of past by-passed charge. (HCOB 19 Aug 63). LRHL. Ron Hubbard states in HCB 23 May 1962, E-Meter Reads, Prepchecking, How Meters get Invalidated, that it is “fatal” to pass an instant reaction on a pc and may cancel further reads.

To take this to absurdum, you are a student auditor1. one who listens and computes; a Scn practitioner. 2. one who has been trained in the technology of Scn. An auditor applies standard technology to preclears. 3. a person who through church training becomes skilled in the successful application of Dn and Scn to his family, friends and the public to achieve the ability gained as stated on the Gradation Chart for his class of training...more running a correction list and the question “has a withhold been missed” is seen to rock slam. You ignore it. Didn’t LRHL. Ron Hubbard say that a tick or stop is not a read? That a read is a sf, f, lf, or lfbd or better? (Ref: Unreading Questions and Items HCOBHubbard Communications Office Bulletin (technical bulletin) Also colloquially referred to as "red on white" HCOB's are always red ink on white paper.) So you blithely ignore that rock slam and go on a few more lines. Suddenly the pc has a new gleam in his eye and his target is you. Hate oozes out of his pours and he is really upset. Don’t be tempted at this point to break the Auditor’s Code and explain that the HCOBHubbard Communications Office Bulletin (technical bulletin) Also colloquially referred to as "red on white" HCOB's are always red ink on white paper. said that only SF or better were considered reads and you did nothing wrong or you could wind up with the pc flying at you over the auditingThe application of Scientology processes and procedures to someone by a trained auditor. (Dianetics & Scientology Technical Dictionary (C) 1975) table.

The reactive mind1. a portion of a person's mind which works on a totally stimulus-response basis, which is not under his volitional control, and which exerts force and the power of command over his awareness, purposes, thoughts, body and actions. Stored in the reactive mind are engrams, and here we find the single source of aberrations and psychosomatic ills. (Scn 0-8, p. 11)...MORE is nothing to fool with.

There are those who will read this and protest that I am giving verbal data. In rebuff, per HCO PLHubbard Communications Office Policy Letter (HCO PL 24 Sept 70R) 9 Feb79 Issue II, “How to Defeat Verbal Tech” #3 “if you can’t understand it, clarify it.”

There can appear to be contrary data written by LRHL. Ron Hubbard, but mostly when that occurs a person trained to a higher level can see how it fits with the overall techAbbreviation for technology. The methods of application of an art or science as opposed to mere knowledge of the science or art itself. (HCOB 13 Sep 65). I truly believe that new students need to have the above clarified; otherwise the analyzer is jammed.

It isn’t fair to a new person in training to have contrary data, or for him to simply throw out all he learned in the E-meter5. the meter tells you what the preclear’s mind is doing when the preclear is made to think of something. (EME, p. 8)...more Drills as “cancelled.” If he applies “What is a Read” to rudimentsA rudiment is that which is used to get the pc in shape to be audited that session. (SH Spec 147. 6205C17) instead of major actions he will soon have pcs who stop running well, or don’t make gains.

This is my contribution to KSW.
