He, perhaps more than any other held the field together in the dark days after 1982 when the church began demonstrating just how mad it had become. It was Mark with the Free Spirit (later entitled Free Spirit Journal) he created that kept the techAbbreviation for technology. The methods of application of an art or science as opposed to mere knowledge of the science or art itself. (SH Spec 62, 6505C25) and recover their true, full spirituality and innate powers. Mark suffered from Alzheimers for many years, and during his final years had very poor memory.

There is a three page article "Remembering Mark Jones" by Hank Levin with two pictures in International Viewpoints number 75 http://articles.ivymag.org/pdf/IVy75.pdf (page 44). Hank reminded me of this just now, and wrote: "I understand from others around him that he had Alzheimer's; but whenever I talked to him he always seemed to be all there. (I had an uncle like that too.)"
