Ant's response to the award

To Dave 28th Feb 2015.

Dear Dave, Thanks for your award,

There are a couple of points I would like to mention. With regard to being a lively octogenarian, this would never have happened if I had not come into Scientology, for my guess is that without Scientology coming into my life I would have died a rather miserable death before I was 50 (but who knows?). When I left org staff the last time (about 1972) I was fortunate to be introduced by a Scientologists (now dead) to running, and for a period I maintained the ability to runUndergo processing. (Science of Survival, p.75) 10 kms non-stop. There were also other efforts with regard to diet and health and cycling (which I still do) based on the intention to remain healthy. It did not "just happen as a gift from the gods"

With regard to Computer work you should remember that I typeset Scientology 0-8 in about 1969 electronically and in about 1989 the fate of the Danish magazine Uafhængige Synspunkter depended on me learning desktop (electronic) publishing fast and I continued "programming" 5 magazines a year until 2008 (there was help from others - thanks to the group spirit!). I have seen how others struggled with computers - it is not easy. It probably is true that all can be achieved on an appropriate gradient, but such a gradient is not easy to find in computer work and is individual.

All best wishes,

Ant
