Processing:

Running of Engrams and Secondaries, Technique: Mostly Repeater Technique. The phenomenon of chains is already known, but is not emphasized.
Goal of processing: Clear3. a Clear is not an all-knowing being. A Clear is somebody who has lost the mass, energy, space and time connected with the thing called mind . ( SH Spec 80, 6609C08) ...more
The "I" = Basic personality is mentioned, but regarded as "weak". The analytical mind3. a network of communications and pictures, energies and masses, which are brought into being by the activities of the thetan versus the physical universe or other thetans. The mind is a communication and control system between the thetan and his environment. (FOT, p. 56)...MORE is what controls a person.
Past lifes are not mentioned.
Only things that have been done to a person are aberrative (not things they have done to another).
Valences are adopted out of engrams as winning valence or, where not possible, as succumbing ones.
Broken dramatizations bring about chronic diseases; Engrams of sympathy are mentioned (Forerunner of service facsimiles1. any mental picture, that is unknowingly created and part of the time track is a facsimile, whether an engram, secondary, lock or pleasure moment. The

techniques have become differentiated, with different recommendations depending on the tone level of the preclear1. a person who, through Scientology processing, is finding out more about himself and life. (The Phoenix Lectures, p. 20) 2. a spiritual being who is now on the road to becoming Clear, hence preclear. (HCOB 5 Apr 69) 3. one who is discovering things about himself and who is becoming clearer. (HCO PL 21 Aug 63) ''Abbr.'' PC. Running of engrams, running of secondaries, lock scanning, Straight memory.
The different techniques and approaches have been brought into a complete system.
Past lifes are represented as something probable.

Emphasis on effort and emotion5. emotion could be called the energy manifestation of affinity. As used in Dn, emotion could be called the index of the state of being. In the English language, “emotional” is often considered synonymous with “irrational.” This would seem to assume that if one is emotional one cannot be reasonable. No more unreasonable assumption could possibly be made. (SOS, p. 48)...more.

Most important goal of processing: To runUndergo processing. (Science of Survival, p.75) the service facsimile2. a theta recording. (Abil 114A)...More of the pc, which can be found with the help of the "emotional curve" and which is responsible for psychosomatic illnesses.
Aberration1. a departure from rational thought or behavior. From the Latin, aberrare, to wander from; Latin, ab, away, errare, to wander. It means basically to err, to make mistakes, or more specifically to have fixed ideas which are not true. The word is also used in its scientific sense. It means departure from a straight line...more is based on self-determinism.

in processing: Effort, emotion5. emotion could be called the energy manifestation of affinity. As used in Dn, emotion could be called the index of the state of being. In the English language, “emotional” is often considered synonymous with “irrational.” This would seem to assume that if one is emotional one cannot be reasonable. Valences are adopted because of failed help, especially if the other person is dead ("Life continuum").
The Thetan appears under the designations "I" and "Control centre". The concept of "I" is the control centre.
Past lifes are regarded as a fact. Differentiation between the lineThe military type of organization form whereby there is a definite ascending and descending chain of command. Clear as a goal is no longer mentioned. Instead of it: "Fifteen" = casethe whole sum of past by-passed charge. (HCOB 19 Aug 63) completion (after having completed the fifteenth act).
Occlusions are handled by running counter emotion5. emotion could be called the energy manifestation of affinity. As used in Dn, emotion could be called the index of the state of being. Early 1952
The term "Overt" appears in lectures.

According to PABProfessional Auditors Bulletin (a series of technical booklet issues.) 35 exteriorization1. the state of the thetan, the individual himself, being outside his body. When this is done, the person achieves a certainty that he is himself and not his body. (PXL Gloss) 2. the phenomenon of being in a position in space dependent on only one’s consideration, able to view from that space, bodies and the room, as it is. (PAB 125) 3. the act of moving out of the body with or without full perception. (HCOB 22 Oct 71) is announced publicly for the first time.

3 Mar 1952

("Scientology, Milestone One", HCLHubbard College Lecture(?) if followed by a string of numbers it denotes a lecture.-2)

The term "Scientology" is re-introduced

(used first 1947 in the book title "Scientology – A new Science" which was the original title of "Dianetics1. DIA (Greek) through, NOUS (Greek) mind, deals with a system of mental image pictures in relation to psychic (spiritual) trauma. Instead of running out of all engrams as given in Book 1, the goal is now to make the person so capable that he can handle any facsimile2. a theta recording. All physical perceptions, all effort, emotion and thought which a person experiences are recorded continuously, and these recordings are called “facsimiles.” They are not dependent upon an organism for their continued existence. Any facsimile which has been recorded is there to be recalled-when the individual has risen high enough on the tone scale, when he has regained enough of his self-determinism. (Abil 114A)...More.
Entities are mentioned as subordinate personalities but are still identified with implanted demon circuits.
Implants are mentioned.

July

1952 ("History of Man")

Strong emphasis on "electronic incidents"

(implants).
Running overts is regarded as important. The earlier so called recession of incidents is now explained with the fact that there must be an overtAn intentionally committed harmful act committed in an effort to resolve a problem. The term "mock-up" appears. Creative processing is recommended as a senior technique ("Technique 80").
The term "thetan1. the living unit we call, in Scn, a thetan, that being taken from the Greek letter theta, the mathematic symbol used in Scn to indicate the source of life and life itself. Additionally the Rock Slama crazy, irregular, unequal, jerky motion of the needle narrow as one inch or as wide as three inches, happening several times a second. The needle goes crazy, slamming back and forth, narrowly, widely over on the left, over on the right, in a mad war dance or as if it were frantically trying to escape. It means hot terminal or hot anything in an assessment and takes precedence over a fall...MORE is mentioned as the meter2. Hubbard Electrometer. "Recall something you have done to

(selected person)" is the first repetitive process1. is simply a process that is run over and over with the same question of the pc. The pc answers the thing and the auditor gives him an acknowledgment. Gives him TR-4 on his origins and it is run until it is flat. (SH Spec 169, 6207C10)...More aiming at overts.

Why of aberration, individuation etc. is discovered to reside in withhold resp. overtAn intentionally committed harmful act committed in an effort to resolve a problem. (SH Spec 44. 6410C27)-withhold. In the standard procedure overts and withholds are stressed heavily in the form of repetitive processes.

Mid-1959 to end of 1959
Communication

processes ("From where could you communicate to ...") and O/W processes are developped further and are now the main part of the processes used. (One single process that is specifically stressed is S2: "From where could you communicate to a victim?") The theory of communication1. the consideration and action of impelling an impulse or particle from source point across a distance to receipt point with the intention of bringing into being at the receipt point a duplication and understanding of that which emanated from the source point. (HCOB 5 Apr 73)...more processes is to bring the pc back to cause.
Different forms of "assessment", i.e. the finding of terminals for use in these processes. More and more frequently it is mentioned that a terminal selected on the E-meter5. the meter tells you what the preclear’s mind is doing when the preclear is made to think of something. The meter registers before the preclear becomes conscious of the datum. It is therefore a pre-conscious meter. It passes a tiny current through the preclear’s body. This current is influenced by the mental masses, pictures, circuits and machinery. When the unclear pc thinks of something, these mental items shift and this registers on the meter. (EME, p. 8)...more should get a "drop" (fall). A process is regarded as flat on a terminal when the pc reads at the clear read for his sex (2 or 3) during several answers.

Help comes to the fore as a vital factor.

CCHs are now only recommended for very low cases.

From September 1960 on Virtually only combinations of

havingness, confront, help and O/W processes are used. The standard combinations of these are called "regimens".
