At my then level of understanding, I felt this writer L Ron Hubbard, was likely to take me onto a new path and I was right, forty one years later I have come full circle in the quest begun so many years ago with my recent completion of New Era Dianetics1. I'd love to take the time to fill in details of the intervening years to give more context to the magnitude of this achievement for me...but it would be too lengthy and likely boring for the reader. The subject itself was still evolving for much of that time, the rundowns and techniques of NOTSNew Era Dianetics for OT's. Done in two main sections after OT III. Audited NOTS (OT V) and Solo NOTS (OT VI & VII with OT VI being the course that trains the pre-OT how to solo audit NOTS) Note: OT IV is the OT Drug Rundown done after OT III. were not even discovered until after my seven year anniversary with the subject and it took me til my 16th anniversary to put together the resources of time and money to afford stepping into the OTOperating Thetan - 7. this state of being is attained by drills and familiarity after the state of Clear has been obtained. (HCOB 19 Aug 63) handlings. Then there was another twenty five year gap to get to the final polishing off of the subject matter with this announcement of completion.

persistence

So I guess the first point I'd like to make about completing this level is that persistence pays off. As you will see as I detail the gains I've achieved from this rundown, none of those would have occurred had I given up or been thrown off by the myriad of distractions and difficulties encountered to get here. For a while in the 90's I was a speaker at events for AOLAAdvanced Organization Los Angeles. Delivers OT levels I-V and the Class VIII course. with the main topic being: "Top Ten Successful Actions For Going Up The Bridge1. the route to Clear, the Bridge , which we call the Classification, Gradation and Awareness Chart. If one simply kept "showing up" he/she would make it to full OTOperating Thetan - 7. this state of being is attained by drills and familiarity after the state of Clear has been obtained. A real OT has no reactive bank, is cause over matter, energy, space, time and thought and is completely free. (HCOB 12 Jul 65)...More. Not intelligence, money, athletic ability, good looks, charm, humor nor any other attribute other than plain old persistence would get you there. I take pride in having practiced what I was preaching since I was surely lacking in the alternate above attributes.

The next key ingredient to success at doing this level for me, and I know it will be true for anyone else embarking on this journey, is my dedication to applying the procedure correctly. In the 70's I had trained and interned as a professional auditor1. one who listens and computes; a Scn practitioner. 2. one who has been trained in the technology of Scn. An auditor applies standard technology to preclears. 3. a person who through church training becomes skilled in the successful application of Dn and Scn to his family, friends and the public to achieve the ability gained as stated on the Gradation Chart for his class of training...more. The lessons learned from studying and applying the Tech "by the book", proved to be the most important factor in achieving all the gains. We've all heard this endlessly repeated so forgive me for mentioning it again here, but it is simply not possible to get all the gains available if one does not adhere to, and have a very good foundation in following instructions and understanding the underlining principals. If you're gonna bake a cake and expect it to turn out as desired, you had better follow the recipe and have an understanding of basic cooking concepts. It's that simple...yet deeply profound at the same time. I have known so many people over the years who could not or would not do the above, and thereby were shut off from the benefits of ridding themselves of their casethe whole sum of past by-passed charge. quick story

Approximately 20% into this rundown I went to get gas at my usual spot, a very busy multi-bay filling station/convenience store. I pulled into one of the fueling bays behind another car that was filling up at the forward pump. When I stopped and turned off my engine, and as I emerged from my car, I was assaulted by incredibly loud rap music booming from the car in front of me. I mean it was loud, so loud it almost hurt and was definitely unpleasant. The driver of the vehicle had recently arrived too and was just beginning to fill his tank.

This man was a very intimidating presence, I'm talking NFL Linebacker type size and not only looked like he had done some "hard time" but was ready and willing to commit mayhem at the drop of a hatA hat therefore designates particular status and duties in an organization. He was obviously just waiting for anyone to challenge him about the noise coming out of his car and gave me a look that communicated such in our micro-second first look at each other.

I had already handled at that point however, rather than me presenting him with my very best ridge and sour demeanor I had cultivated for so many years as a means of handling such encounters, I instead presented him with the absolutely most beatific and benign, ridge-less greeting I've ever given anyone. I simply confronted him, and since no verbal communication1. the consideration and action of impelling an impulse or particle from source point across a distance to receipt point with the intention of bringing into being at the receipt point a duplication and understanding of that which emanated from the source point. (HCOB 5 Apr 73)...more was possible with the noise emanating from his car, put both hands out, palms up, in a questioning and pleasant manner.

The gentleman digested this no ridge, non threatening commSlang, short for - communication and calmly turned around, leaned into his car and turned off the music. He then turned back to me and said simply, "since you asked so nicely".

I thanked him and we both went about filling up our cars.

A moment after this drama had played out, I got the most perplexed look from another driver at an adjacent bay, as if to say to me, "what the hell did you just do?". lol

That was one of my first dramatic and definite validations that I was in fact, changing. It's one thing to subjectively see and feel the charge1. harmful energy or force accumulated and stored within the reactive mind, resulting from the conflicts and unpleasant experiences that a person has had. Auditing discharges this charge so that it is no longer there to affect the individual. (Scn AD)..more and casethe whole sum of past by-passed charge. (HCOB 19 Aug 63) being handled, and another to have it demonstrated out in the real world with other people.

plateaus

I had often heard it said ny people doing Solo NOTSNew Era Dianetics for OT's. Done in two main sections after OT III. Audited NOTS (OT V) and Solo NOTS (OT VI & VII with OT VI being the course that trains the pre-OT how to solo audit NOTS) Note: OT IV is the OT Drug Rundown done after OT III. they experienced "plateaus" of gain throughout the level. They seemed to be saying that they achieved certain new levels and then leveled off for a while until gaining a new, higher level.

I found this to be true for me as well. Unlike other, shorter Bridge1. the route to Clear, the Bridge , which we call the Classification, Gradation and Awareness Chart. (Aud 107 ASNO) 2. a term originating in early Dn days to symbolize travel from unknowingness to revelation. (Aud 72 ASNO). actions I found there were long periods of consistent gain but those periods would seem to lack a certain punch or spark as you might expect based on the quantity of casethe whole sum of past by-passed charge. (HCOB 19 Aug 63) being dealt with during that time.

This was never really a concern in any way because one thing about this level, is that you are always completely sure you are handling large volumes of casethe whole sum of past by-passed charge. (HCOB 19 Aug 63). Even if there were limited "wow" moments for stretches during the rundown, I always felt I was progressing and doing something very important.

Some wisemen throughout the ages have glimpsed the truth of such things as god, angels, heaven and hell but more often than not, what has been reported was the implanted images we've been falsely led to believe in. That is a personal truth and it is ultimately up to each of us to attain our own understanding. All anyone can do is recommend a ROUTE to achieve such. I recommend LRHL. Ron Hubbard's route.

The "win" for me is that at times during this level I felt touched by god and even godlike myself. I met with angels and visited heaven. All of which are allegories of course. However, the incidents on the whole trackThe whole track is the moment to moment record of a person's existence in this universe in picture and impression form. (HCOB 9 Feb 66) that have ensnared thetans are not.

And I agree with LRHL. Ron Hubbard when he said - "if one were looking for hell and found earth, it would certainly serve".

During the course of this auditingThe application of Scientology processes and procedures to someone by a trained auditor. (Dianetics & Scientology Technical Dictionary (C) 1975) I got a good look at the wholetrack people and technologies used to trap beings. I came to refer to the people operating these technologies as "psy-techs". Very sophisticated and advanced technologyThe methods of application of an art or science as opposed to mere knowledge of the science or art itself. (HCOB 13 Sep 65) ''Abbr.'' tech and understanding of beings lies behind the entrapment techniques. These boys are good at what they do. Unfortunately it is very evil.

When I see our current civilization developing ubiquitous microwave networks which bombard us constantly with their signals, the development of nano technologies, the mass legal doping of populations including children, the push for RFID and nano chips being implanted in the population and the geo-political movement toward a hybrid communist-fascist slave-state a la China - I become alarmed.

These things have been done before and are a model we should NOT replicate. All that is left is the application of some wholetrack inspired "psy-techAbbreviation for technology. The methods of application of an art or science as opposed to mere knowledge of the science or art itself. (HCOB 13 Sep 65)" methodologies and any chance we had to create a "new civilization" here on earth will be gone.

Sorry to bring that up but it's not all sunshine and bunnies on these upper levels.

My success story begins with a little history about me. I relocated my entire life from Toronto to L.A. to do the bridge in the independent field 15 years ago. Since then I became a USUnited States. (Modern Management Technology Defined (C) 1976). citizen, worked various jobs, had a few girlfriends, got married then divorced, committed overts, withheld those overts, bought real estate and lost it all. Life was kicking me in the butt and I was losing the game, bad. I couldn’t afford the bridge anymore and I didn’t get very far. Recently, I packed up all my stuff, what little I own and I flew back home to Canada with the intention to do my bridge on a full time basis, studying and auditingThe application of Scientology processes and procedures to someone by a trained auditor. (Dianetics & Scientology Technical Dictionary (C) 1975) everyday, otherwise it felt very real to me that I would never finish it in this lifetime at the pace I was going. So, I’m back where I started my life. Living at home with my parents, in their basement, confronting all my overts and withholds.

And I have.

142 hours later, I finished Grade 2. I’ve never confronted so much in my life, and I never thought that I would communicate my overts to anyone, ever. Some things I was going to take to the grave with me. Thanks for making me feel like I can talk to you Jerry, you make me feel safe. My life is restored back to normal again. In the end, I get it’s not about what grade I’m on or how long its been taking me but rather that my life experience has been repaired. That’s what matters to me. All the charge1. harmful energy or force accumulated and stored within the reactive mind, resulting from the conflicts and unpleasant experiences that a person has had. Auditing discharges this charge so that it is no longer there to affect the individual. (Scn AD)..more of my life is gone now. I’m really happy to have my life back.

Not only do I feel a relief from the hostilities of life but I also feel a relief from how long it’s taken me to get to write you this success story.

I feel free now from all the physical abuse I endured by my parents, all the antagonism that came from my brother and my sisters and from living life on this planet. I hated life, I hated earth and I didn’t belong here. I realize how aberated everyone’s actions were towards me but I feel like I can freely move around within societies aberrations now and not let it effect me as much. Like it’s their aberration, not mine. I got my itsa lineThe military type of organization form whereby there is a definite ascending and descending chain of command. Orders pass from top management down the line of command and compliances and data pass on up without by-passing the chain of command. (Modern Management Defined (c) L. Ron Hubbard, 1976) straightened out. At this moment, I have certainty that I completed the most thorough grade two ever and I definitely cleansed myself of all the past negative experiences of my life. It was as though I witnessed magic happening before my eyes, as I erased things that I was stuck with for so long. I can now see how I participated in all of the negative experiences not knowing what the hell I was doing at the time. I am starting life over again; I have a second chance at life, a fresh new beginning, starting from scratch and equipped with all this experience under my wing.

I’m aware of my actions now and what I experience each and every moment is up to me what I want to make of it, what I do, what I don’t do, who I choose to be and who I choose not to be, its really up to me. I’m not afraid of having others tell me what to do without it bothering me because its not a forced request any longer and deciding to do it or not is up to me to decide. Now, watching my Italian family yell at each other or argue amongst each other doesn’t bother me either, before I would resist the sight of it, now it’s entertaining to watchEvery member of a ship's company has two general types of activities, one of these is as a member of watches, wherein he handles his duties of steering, lookout, engines, etc., including emergency drills. That’s what it took, a man of his experience and expertise, otherwise I don’t think I would be here writing this to you now. I’m not hurting anymore. I’m no longer taking the wrong survival actions, and the downward spiral has been completely stopped and reversed itself upward. I’m standing on stable ground again. "The Letter" was a long letter (duplicated) written in 1982 or 1983 describing events within the official Scientology organisation. It also also recorded the fact that Scientology was being practised outside official Scientology organisations. This article describes it arriving in Denmark and how it helped create a free Scientology field with worldwide .

Letter Arrives in Denmark

On June the 15th 1983 the postman delivered a letter through the door of my small flat on the fourth floor of a building 13 kilometres north of Copenhagen. It was a rather thick package. It contained a long rather poorly duplicated letter signed by "Dane TopsAnonymous author(s) of a long letter explaining what was happening inside the CoS and the Scientology activities going on outside, causing many to leave. About the turn of the year 1982/1983.".

At the time I was an outcast from Scientology. In March, after a weird procedure in a Scientology organisation where I had to write up my overts (discreditable actions) I was sent to somebody who was called "The Ethics Officer" and she told me that I was a Suppressive Person2. a person who rewards only down statistics and never rewards an up statistic. He goofs up or vilifies any effort to help anybody and particularly knifes with violence anything calculated to make human beings more powerful or intelligent. A suppressive automatically and immediately will curve any betterment activity into something evil or bad...More^[1], that I was to go out, not to talk to "anybody" except herself until I had found my overtAn intentionally committed harmful act committed in an effort to resolve a problem. (SH Spec 44. 6410C27) and reported into her.

I had come to Denmark in 1969 as a Scientology staff member and had not made any non-Scientology friends in Denmark. I was somewhat alone. I had managed to find a better job than my previous one as a badly paid "night watchman" in a tiny taxi firm. Rather fortunately as you will see later the new job concerned duplicating plans and papers.

I knew someone (Bill Remak) who had also been declared a Suppressive Person2. a person who rewards only down statistics and never rewards an up statistic. Bill read it through (to my mind3. a network of communications and pictures, energies and masses, which are brought into being by the activities of the thetan versus the physical universe or other thetans. The mind is a communication and control system between the thetan and his environment. (FOT, p. 56)...MORE very superficially), handed it back to me and said: "If you send this to anybody do not put your name and address on the letter".

I did send it on to four or five people, carefully not putting my address and name on, and the day after I sent it Maiken Borre rang me up and asked me if I had sent it, to which I answered yes. The result of this was that some communication1. the consideration and action of impelling an impulse or particle from source point across a distance to receipt point with the intention of bringing into being at the receipt point a duplication and understanding of that which emanated from the source point. (HCOB 5 Apr 73)...more got going on the subject. A little group of people got together. Apart from me they were still officially in the Church of Scientology and risked being similarly thrown out if it was known that they had talked to me. It was agreed that we should meet weekly in my flat (which was regarded as "neutral ground" and therefore not liable to be watched by the Church of Scientology, which sometimes got referred to as "Cof$"). Those that met up weekly were:

Mailings

At that time a roving registrarIn a Scn org, the person signs up people for Scn service (HCO Admin Ltr 30 Jul 75) from the AOSH EU and AF (Marie Maloney) had left staff there, disgusted at how she saw people being treated. She had with her addresses of AOSH's clients in some major European countries and information packs informing of activity outside the Church of Scientology were being sent out by other FriScientologists to those people explaining what was going on in Scientology and outside the "church". But we did not have addresses for Scientologists in the Scandinavian countries. We therefore formed something which we called "the Europaiske Informationcenter" (in Danish, shortened to DEI, letters which had a meaning in Scientology, there was a scale including the steps desire, enforce, inhibit). The DEI sent information packs out to these addresses giving information that Scientology was available in Scandinavia outside the official Co$.

Interview

Maiken had some connections with the press, but did not want to appear herself in an interview. Maiken had been the QualQualifications: the division on many Scientology organization boards that certified the correctness of products (including auditing levels gained) and corrected outnesses and bad products from other divisions. She arranged for me to be interviewed by one of the morning newspapers (called, funnily enough to Scientologists who know the upper auditingThe application of Scientology processes and procedures to someone by a trained auditor. (Dianetics & Scientology Technical Dictionary (C) 1975) levels, "BT"). It duly appeared in an inner page article of BT with a large picture of me. (Picture of that needed, anyone care to research BT's files?)

International commSlang, short for - communication lines

The little group that met in my flat contained people with varied and different international Scientology connections. Each week we collected and talked about news from different areas. One thing I remember about those meetings was that Scott Leland seemed to say at every meeting that he expected the church would have collapsed by the next week's meeting. We did however more than collect news - in all we had collected about 40 international addresses. I had a job where, in return for my doing overtime when needed, I was able to make photocopies. When we got a sufficient number of written documents from these 40 terminals across the world, I would photocopy (duplicate) copies of each one and send them off to each of these 40 terminals.

Further FriScientology activities

The little group that met in my flat stopped meeting after about a year (I cannot remember the details of that). However other activities were going on.

There were a number of English-speaking FriScientology magazines. Probably the first one in Europe was called Reconnection. It came from England and was edited in the beginning by Jon Atak and I believe you can find it on the Internet^[2]. There was an English-speaking one which originated in the German speaking area called Comm Line. In the USA Mark Jones started a magazine which he called "Free Spirit"^[3].

It seemed there was demand for a magazine in Danish. There was a lot of talk about it but nothing got done for a while until Søren Werk took the bull by the horns and organised something. He worked for a computer firm, was able to get the use of the firm's premises and equipment in the evenings and organised volunteers typing mailing lists and articles. Thus he started the Danish magazine which began with the title Synspunkter, meaning Viewpoints. A local man, Ivan Tønder, who ran a small printing works, initially printed the magazine for free (later we paid half price). Later it became called Uafhænge Synspunkter, meaning Independent Viewpoints. The change was because we wanted to send it through a cheaper postA position from which a terminal operates in an org, where one knows that somebody is at. There was a move to get Ron's eldest son, Nibs Hubbard, to come over and give a course, apparently on exteriorisation. It was later learned that he intended to use drugs on the course so it got a bit frowned upon but then he became ill and died so it did not happen.

Another famous person who did come was Bent Corydon, [[1]] who actually was born in Denmark. Bent came and gave a talk at Ole Gerstrøm's place (of which a cassette tape was made). This was announced widely and there were people who did not want to go to it because it had been announced widely and they did not want Scientology organisations to know that they were interested in it. So I invited Bent to give the lecture again in my flat. It is a small flat with a door between the lounge and the bedroom. We had to leave this door open because they were so many people that we could not jam them all in the living room.

I came to Denmark in 1969 as a member of the Publications Organisation. I left it when my contract was up in 1972 (? 71). Got a job printing for an insurance firm. Continued my OTOperating Thetan - 7. this state of being is attained by drills and familiarity after the state of Clear has been obtained. A real OT has no reactive bank, is cause over matter, energy, space, time and thought and is completely free. (HCOB 12 Jul 65)...More levels. Engaged in some Scientology activities like running two Scientology MiniGroups and I was Registrar of the (field) Auditor's Association when it was started in the seventies. I had a spare bed and lived just over 10 kilometres from the AOSH EU and AF (senior Scientology organisation for Europe and Africa).

People who were coming from other European countries and Africa for upper Scientology levels and training and needed a place to sleep and in some cases to do solo auditingIn solo auditing the auditor is also the pc. (BTB 12 Dec 71 IV). So I rented the bed and other facilities out to Scientologists visiting Denmark.

One of them was John XXXX (name forgotten). He was a New Zealander, married to an American. He worked on an oil rig in the North Sea as a paramedic working two weeks on the rig followed by a week free. Things were very turbulent in the Scientology world; we heard of strange things happening. Apparently John and his wife investigated this in the USA travelling to key locations in the Scientology world trying to find out what was happening and in the course of that he ran into the Dane TopsAnonymous author(s) of a long letter explaining what was happening inside the CoS and the Scientology activities going on outside, causing many to leave. This occurred before the days of personal computers with their scanning machines. Copy machines using toner were somewhat in their infancy and the quality was not always good. When you copied something the copy was usually slightly larger than the original.
