Antony A Phillips Rhona died a few days ago, rather unexpectedly, and it will take a few months to get the full biography up. A memorial service for her will be held on the 29th June, and the following is the little note I wrote for the memorial service:

In 1957 I was due to take over the postA position from which a terminal operates in an org, where one knows that somebody is at. (FO 2200) of Director of the American College of Personal Efficiency in Dublin, and was told by Jack Parhouse, Association Secretary in London Org who employed me, that I was to have myself called "Doctor Phillips" (this was the practice with Scientology executives at the time). I was no Doctor, so I wanted something in writing to show if someone challenged me. I received a typewritten letter on LRHL. Ron Hubbard notepaper awarding me a Doctor of Philosophy, for my work at the American College of Personal Efficiency (which I had hardly started). It was typewritten but had the typists initial, RS (for Rhona Swinburne, Rhona's maiden name). This letter is at http://www.antology.info/index-6.html Maybe you can get some one to print it out.
Later When I worked at the London Org, Ron transferred me from Director of Training to Lead Auditor in the HGC, and I was cut up about it. The London org was then at 7 and 37 Fitzroy Street, and walking from one place to the other, I met Rhona, told her I was "upset" at the transfer, and she sympathised with me.
It was a lovely joy when she wrote to me in February, having seen my home page. And it is a great loss that she has gone so suddenly. We were in good commSlang, short for - communication since then, and I anticipated being able to fill in more of Scientology's history.

At that time the organisation in London was small and actually two organisations, HASIAbbreviation for Hubbard Association of Scientologists International. (Modern Management Technology Defined (C) 1976). (Hubbard Association of Scientologists) and HCO (Hubbard Communications Office) the second being Hubbard's private office, manned by two people, Rhona, Ron's secretary, and an assistant.
