This is the Library project page. It is for the development of Scientolipedia's semantic categorization of Scientology materials.

For an overview and user manual of the technologyThe methods of application of an art or science as opposed to mere knowledge of the science or art itself. (HCOB 13 Sep 65) ''Abbr.'' tech used go HERE

Please feel free to join the discussion and help create the best repository for LRHL. Ron Hubbard and Scientology materials available anywhere!

overview

We need to create the various elements that go into building a repository for the data.

e.g. what fields need to be displayed to the user? Name, date, type of issue (HCOBHubbard Communications Office Bulletin (technical bulletin) Also colloquially referred to as "red on white" HCOB's are always red ink on white paper., HCOPL, checksheetA list of materials, often divided into sections, that give the theory and practical steps which, when completed, give one a study completion...More, book etc)

Once the various elements have been identified then the software can be programmed to accept input of data, content can be added and the means of presenting the data developed. i.e. links, lists, downloads, pictures...that type of thing.

So the questions we are trying to answer are what do we want to capture and how do we present the information?

The SemanticAs used in this context, it refers to re-using data from web pages that would otherwise not be available anywhere other than the single web page it is published on. A Semantic Wiki like this one, is enhanced Wiki software (like this in-line glossary function) that is far more complex and sophisticated, with advanced data collection, display and reporting methods. It is able to make relationships in the presentation of data to the user in ways regular Internet applications cannot. Wiki has amazing capabilities to capture and display data. Our task is to learn how to do it the way we would like to.

Here is an example of how we want to be able to display the data we collect

what?

We need to decide what we are going to archive semantically first. Pictures? check sheets? technical bulletins? PL's? Taped lectures? PABProfessional Auditors Bulletin (a series of technical booklet issues.)'s? etc.

Picking a simple or relatively small segment of the immense material would seem to be the best choice to get started with no?

The category for this project is Library, which is defined as; "THIS CATEGORY IS FOR LRHL. Ron Hubbard ARTICLES AND SCIENTOLOGY REFERENCE MATERIALS"

properties

Semantic Properties are the building blocks of the data structure of this project. SCIENTOLiPEDIA properties that pertain to this project include, but are not limited to the following items;

  • Author - (i.e. LRHL. Ron Hubbard) Created
  • Date - (i.e. 28 Apr 76) Created
  • Issue type - (i.e. HCOBHubbard Communications Office Bulletin (technical bulletin) Also colloquially referred to as "red on white" HCOB's are always red ink on white paper., HCOPL, etc.) Created
  • Image - (i.e. Yvonne Gillham Jentzsch)
  • Location - (i.e. A Celebrity Centre magazine)
  • Name - (i.e. Advance Magazine)
  • Title - (i.e. FEBCMakes the equivalent in management of a Class VIII in auditing. Hatting Drills) Created
  • Topic - (i.e. Drills designed by LRHL. Ron Hubbard to handle the inability to overcome confusion and Q and A while hatting a junior)

checksheetsA list of materials, often divided into sections, that give the theory and practical steps which, when completed, give one a study completion...More

We have a finite amount of data when searching for a particular checksheetA list of materials, often divided into sections, that give the theory and practical steps which, when completed, give one a study completion...More.

Searchable data:

  1. What kind of issue is it (BTBAbbreviation for Board Technical Bulletin. (Modern Management Technology Defined (C) 1976), HCOBHubbard Communications Office Bulletin (technical bulletin) Also colloquially referred to as "red on white" HCOB's are always red ink on white paper., etc.). This is important. The property for this would be "Issue type". Created
  2. The date of the issue. This is important. The property for this would be "Has date". Created
  3. What this issue cancels or modifies. Is this an important searchable feature?
  4. The routing of the issue (Remimeo, OrgsShort for organization. (HCO PL 8 Sept 69), etc). Is this an important searchable feature? The property for this would be "Has issue routing". Created
  5. The title of the checksheetA list of materials, often divided into sections, that give the theory and practical steps which, when completed, give one a study completion...More. This is important. The property for this would be "Has title". Created
  6. Prerequisites. Is this an important searchable feature? The property for this would be "Has prerequisite". Created
  7. Length. Is this an important searchable feature? The property for this would be "Has length". Created
  8. Product produced. Is this an important searchable feature?
  9. Certificate issued. Is this an important searchable feature? The property for this would be "Has certificate issued". Created
  10. Author. This is important. The property for this would be "Author". (This one already exists, though not as a verb phrase). Created

template

form

I envision a form that has several different templates on it. That way if the user checks that the document is an HCOBHubbard Communications Office Bulletin (technical bulletin) Also colloquially referred to as "red on white" HCOB's are always red ink on white paper. then the template for that will show up. If it is tape then that template will show up. This will help us with the different ways that documents are dated.
