Roy was a mainstay of APIS and a true leader. He was a staunch supporter of standard tech and would brook no reasonableness in his adherence to the philosophy and technology of Scientology. No one says it better than Roy:

"One thing I realized sincerely is that us early trained Scientologist have a huge job to do. We aren't done yet. Body death is our enemy. We are all in our latter years and death could win if we let it. I am one of those guys, and I am not modest about it. We MUST TRAIN AND AUDIT OTHERS TO APPLY TRUE TECHNOLOGY IN THE FUTURE, ONCE WE ARE FORCED TO LEAVE AND START OVER. The original tech must further mankind to freedom of aberration. The new stuff by Miscavige doesn't work. Fighting the church may be some forte, but not for me. I need to train and audit others and help my peers. Believe me, this small group of unknown in the FZ people need help and (this next word is an end word to some) organization to do its job. Training and processing ARE available by these veterans is waiting to further their agenda of the future. LRH's postulates must be furthered. This above is why I am still here and plan to continue for some time."

He started Scientology in 1970 at San Francisco Org, where he completed Class Four Graduate training and internships under a Class IX CS and audited in the Foundation Org HGC as well as day Org Staff. Eventually Roy completed Class V Graduate and internships, with AOLA OKs to audit OTs attained in 1977-78. Roy was sent to Flag by San Francisco Org in October of 1974 and completed the Flag Executive Briefing Course and other administrative courses before returning to SFO Day as Exec Director.

"I grew up in the world of LRH Tech, holding the posts of Course Supervisor, Director of Training, Technical Secretary and Review Auditor at San Francisco. I am Pro LRH and do my best to deliver Standard Tech."

Roy has an impressive resume as follows:

San Francisco Org in 1970 as a HAS (comm course) Supervisor after doing the Mini Course Supervisors' Course. Shortly after completing the Hubbard Professional Course Supervisors' Course and internship, Roy was Academy Supervisor, then Director of Training for San Francisco Day Org.

He then spent three years as Tech Sec, during which time he completed the Primary Rundown. He then also completed HSDC and Academy Levels 0-4 under the Class IX CS and audited in the Foundation Org for the duration as well as Day Org Tech Sec.

Roy has also completed the Graduate Class IV CS and Internship. In 1974 he completed the Org Exec Course and Internship at San Francisco, and in October of that year was sent to the Apollo (Flagship) to train on the Flag Executive Briefing Course and the new Data Series Evaluators' Course, along with an internship in the Flag Bureaux, working with top management.

Roy has a impressive number of interned permanent completions:

None of these seem to quite fit exactly and many of them seem to confuse compassion with sympathy and or empathy. If you check out sympathy, empathy and compassion in many dictionaries you will invariably find the words are all used in the definitions of each other and with no clear cut stand alone definition of compassion.

Sympathy, empathy and compassion are each distinctly different emotions or feelings.

A comprehensive definition of sympathy, firstly, is given in the Dianetics & Scientology Technical Dictionary as:
:"A terrible thing but is considered to be a very valuable thing. The survival value of sympathy is this: when an individual is hurt or immobilized, he cannot fend for himself. He must count on another or others to care for him. His bid for such care is the enlistment of the sympathy of others. This is practical. If men weren't sympathetic, none of us would be alive. If one plots these three emotions on the tone scale one can quickly see that sympathy is one of the lower emotions on the scale. The application of sympathy does not raise a beings awareness level and rarely, if ever, alleviates suffering. It is an agreement to be on that tone level.

Empathy is somewhat higher and incorporates more ARC rather than less. As can be seen by the definitions above, it contains more reality than sympathy and does not have the, "poor you" emotional attitude but is still going into emotional agreement with another individual. Again this serves no useful purpose as it does not assist to bring an individual upscale.
Compassion however could be considered high on the tone scale and the application can result in the betterment of an individual when applied correctly.

Having compassion is different to compassionate acts of course.

Having compassion is, at the very least, an understanding of the reality level of the individual without judgment. At best it could be described as a full understanding of the reality level of another individual or being with high affinity along with the granting of beingness to that individual.

The Dalai Lama has stated, "Compassion makes one see the picture clearly; when emotions overtake us, the lack of seeing clearly clouds our perception of reality and hence the cause of many misunderstandings leading to quarrels (even wars)."

The American Buddhist monk Bhikkhu Bodhi wrote: "Compassion supplies the complement to loving-kindness. Whereas loving-kindness has the characteristic of wishing for the happiness and welfare of others, compassion has the characteristic of wishing that others be free from suffering, a wish to be extended without limits to all living beings. Like metta*, compassion arises by entering into the subjectivity of others, by sharing their interiority in a deep and total way. It springs up by considering that all beings, like ourselves, wish to be free from suffering, yet despite their wishes continue to be harassed by pain, fear, sorrow, and other forms of dukkha."

The cultivation of compassion is considered a virtue in many philosophies and also in almost all major religions.
Whereas sympathy will tend to hold an individual at that level and empathy is more going into agreement with an individual or object, compassion is higher on the tone scale and contains more of the combination of ARC or understanding.
It is more active and less reactive. More positive than negative. More causative and less effect. It would include the granting of beingness and, at the same time, the willingness to assist positively an individual who wished it.

It involves no judgment but it does involve direction and guidance. It does not require the auditor to be in agreement with the person being audited, but does require that the auditor grant beingness to the person being audited and allow that person to retain their own reality. The auditor is basically and very simply directing the attention of the individual being audited to an area of their life so they can, themselves, see and understand that aspect of their life or beingness fully.

The auditor does not have to be sympathetic or empathetic. Indeed, it would be detrimental if he were. He simply has to be compassionate. It could be said that the most compassionate people make the best auditors. This includes the fact that the intention and understanding of the compassionate person is so marked that their determination to provide the best service and most proficient auditing is a result of their level of compassion. How come some auditors get glowing success stories from their preclears yet others just get a ho hum report? It is the exact application of tech of course and this includes ARC and the application of compassion.

Out of all the technologies and techniques and philosophies in the world today, the technology and philosophy that Lafayette Ron Hubbard developed could be considered the most compassionate of all.

It contains the understandings of life and the universe.

It is based upon a compassionate and very wide understanding of mankind.

The Freezone Association of Australia & New Zealand or FANZA as it is called, is the Australian and New Zealand branch of the Association of Professional Independent Scientologists (APIS).

FANZA is a non-profit association structured on the philosophy of Ron's concept of a simple organisation.

FANZA is a group of individuals, auditors and groups who believe they have the religious right to practice the original philosophy of Ron.

They believe that, since the death of the founder of the movement, the Church of Scientology has completely strayed from the original philosophy and purpose of the group which Hubbard first researched and developed.

As the members of FANZA do not wish to participate in the practice of an altered philosophy they have elected to practice their chosen philosophy independently of the church.

This is a revitalization of the original technology of Lafayette Ron Hubbard also known as Standard Technology.

FANZA are not in competition with the Church of Scientology since APIS practices the original working philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard as distinct from the profoundly altered version currently used by the church and called by the church, Dianetics and Scientology.

FANZA is, by definition, not for scientologists who continue to belong to the church. It is for scientologists who believe in and practice the original philosophy and working technology of Lafayette Ron Hubbard and have either left the church of their own accord or been expelled from the church. Also individuals who are seeking spiritual enlightenment through the religious beliefs and practices of the original philosophy and the technology relating to that philosophy as originally expounded by Lafayette Ron Hubbard, and who have no desire to be a part of the current church in its existing form.

FANZA believes that man is free to follow his own path, and his religious practices and beliefs are not constricted by any copyright monopoly, therefore new people wishing to seek enlightenment through the practices of scientology are not bound by law to attend only the official church any more than all Christians are bound by law to attend only catholic churches and all Judaists should be orthodox.

This means that the Church of Scientology under the control of the 'Religous Technology Center' and itself under the leadership and control of the private corporation known as the 'Church of Spiritual Technology', which promotes itself as a religion, does not have a monopoly on the religious beliefs and practices of scientologists simply because of the ownership of a few copyrights and trademarks.

The church has been quick to state in a court of law, that it is not a commercial enterprise or business but a religion. Yet it has attempted to apply laws reserved for commercial enterprises in an attempt to restrict the religious practices of others. The original working philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard is not in 'competition' to save men's souls. It is an applied philosophy and that is something which no man holds a monopoly on. Indeed as the originator of this philosophy has stated:

"... all we know of science or of religion comes from philosophy. It lies behind and above all other knowledge we have or use."

"For long regarded as a subject reserved for halls of learning and the intellectual, the subject, to a remarkable degree, has been denied the man in the street."

"Surrounded by protective coatings of impenetrable scholarliness, philosophy has been reserved to the privileged few."

"The first principle of my own philosophy is that wisdom is meant for anyone who wishes to reach for it. It is the servant of the commoner and king alike and should never be regarded with awe. ..."

and

"I know no man who has any monopoly upon the wisdom of this universe. It belongs to those who can use it to help themselves and others."

Therefore anyone has the right and the freedom to participate in APIS aims, purposes and goals and in the original working philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard without let or hindrance.

The purposes of The Association of Professional Independent Scientologists include:

Preserve, protect and promote the exact technology and original workable philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard for future use so it is available for all mankind.

Establish communication and understanding among the members of APIS and members of other communities.

Promote and sponsor educational activities that alert and teach the general public about the exact technology and original workable philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard.

Defend APIS from any attempt to inhibit its existence and expansion.

Assist in the defence of any of its members in the event of any unwarranted legal process to the detriment of the member on the basis of the member(s) exercising their legal right to practice their religion or philosophy and inherent and the technology and original workable philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard.

There has been some confusion regarding the use of the word 'scientologist' and even who constitutes being a scientologist.

The Religious Technology Center (RTC), holder of various copyrights and trademarks on behalf of the Church of Scientology it seems are attempting to monopolize the word and restrict it's use to those people whom they consider are in good standing as members of the officially registered Church of Scientology International (CSI) and that anyone who is not considered by that same church as in good standing with them, regardless of the reason why, cannot call themselves a scientologist. Although they do NOT hold a trademark or copyright over the use of the word, this does not stop them attempting to blur the issue and give the apparency that the word is copyright. They call it a 'collective mark', a dubious term at best and an outright lie at worst.
Of course one could ask the question, why would anyone want to call themselves scientologist? Perhaps for the same reason that a Christian calls themselves a Christian or a Muslim calls themselves a Muslim or a Hindi calls themselves a Hindi or a Buddhist calls themselves a Buddhist. Because they chose to announce their faith by demonstrating what they believe in to the world.

It requires no copyright, trademark or 'thou shalt not call oneself a scientologist unless we say you can't.' It has nothing to do with any particular orthodox church. Indeed, there are established Jewish people by birth or religion that call themselves Jewish yet are not a member of any orthodox Jewish order. To call oneself an Orthodox Jew requires one to participate in the practices of the orthodox Jewish order. However, there is also the reform Jewish Church or movement. The Orthodox does not bring legal proceedings against the reform church because they call themselves Jewish. Perhaps we should call ourselves reform scientologists? In most of the countries of the world a person is entitled to call themselves whatever they wish in relation to their beliefs. And publicly state so as well.

Now the scientology religion has an orthodox, if you will, church. This was set up by L Ron Hubbard, the founder in order to effectively disseminate the technology and philosophy he developed. He pointed out, on several occasions and in many written issues, that in order to achieve the results of applying the technology he developed; it needs to be understood fully and applied in the exact manner he proscribed. Part of ensuring this was done was the establishment of a church to act as a custodian for the technology so that it was not altered or misapplied, resulting in less or no results through misunderstanding and misapplication.

Unfortunately, since the demise of Ron Hubbard, 'changes' to the technology and the application have been made that violate this principle. Some of these may be found documented at http://scientologistsfreezone.com among other websites. In fact it is said now that the 'orthodox' church intends to rewrite all of L. Ron Hubbard's work, including the original Dianetics: the Modern Science of Mental Health on the possible basis that the public are too stupid to understand it. This, if true, would be a radical and major departure from the 'original scriptures', as the church likes to call them in court. So what philosophy is the church protecting?

At this point a very brief summary of the structure of the church would be beneficial. At the top of the lucrative fiscal food chain you have the Church of Spiritual Technology (CST). Contrary to the name this is not actually a church but a privately owned corporation.

The CST owns the Religious Technology Center (RTC), another privately owed business, which owns some trademarks and copyrights somehow acquired at or around the death of the Founder L. Ron Hubbard. They license these trademarks and copyrights to the CSI who have first rights to the use of the trademarks and copyrights but legally and, if felt so disposed, could rescind this license at anytime.

So the Church of Scientology does not actually own the copyrights or trademarks it uses, but pays a private company for the right to use them. This amounts to millions of dollars per year. Being a private company no financial statements or balance sheets are issued by the CST at any time. The directors are, for the most part, NOT scientologists. Their directors fees are not disclosed and the use of the many millions of dollars obtained is not disclosed either.

Interesting!

But what has this to do with the attempt to monopolize the word scientologist you may ask?

There are many people outside of the church who have either been booted out or have no wish to belong to the official church. In fact almost ALL of the original experienced scientologists who assisted Ron Hubbard in building up the church and the Saint Hill organizations to their now former, glory have all been excommunicated or, in church parlance, 'declared'. However that does not immediately mean they are no longer scientologists. Just no longer members of the official church. The two states are not synonymous.

The definition of a scientologist as per the published works of Ron Hubbard, as written by the originator of the philosophy and technology himself specifically in the book, "The Dianetics and Scientology Technical Dictionary'" by L. Ron Hubbard, published by Author Services, a name by which the RTC goes by, states:

''SCIENTOLOGIST, 1. One who betters the conditions of himself and the conditions of others by using Scn technology. 2. One who controls persons, environments and situations. A Scientologist operates within the boundaries of the Auditor's Code and the Code of a Scientologist. 3. One who understands life. His technical skill is devoted to the resolution of the problems of life. 4. A specialist in spiritual and human affairs.''

Looking very carefully, I do not see it mentioned anywhere in that officially approved definition, that one is obliged to be an officially approved member of the Church of Scientology. One can be independent. The word scientologist is not a label of identity but of a practice and adherence to a code of conduct.

The word scientology itself does not mean, that which is owned by the Church of Scientology and that which can only be practiced by the church known as the Church of Scientology. Indeed in that very same dictionary the word is defined as , "…a science of life. It is the one thing senior to life because it handles all the factors of life. It contains the data necessary to live as a free being. A reality in Scientology is a reality on life."

Indeed there is probably legal cause to object to the registration of the words 'Scientology' , 'Hubbard' and 'L. Ron Hubbard', as a generic name for a religion (which the church was keen to have established by the High Court in the USA) interestingly enough, and respectively the name L. Ron Hubbard and Hubbard is a name of an individual.

And as Ron Hubbard himself pointed out on more than one occasion,

''"I know no man who has any monopoly upon the wisdom of this universe. It belongs to those who can use it to help themselves and others."''

And

''"People look on this as being 'my science'. Yeah, I own all of your postulates. I bought them one day at a raffle. Like the devil I did! About the only thing, as I told you the other day, that I have done is organize and put together, and maybe I can look a little bit better than anybody else has been looking for a long time, and so I can see it. But if you can see it, well, so help me Pete, it's yours. Got that?"
From LRH tape lecture titled "Individuation".''

Presuming that the RTC agree with the tenets of L. Ron Hubbard, who founded the very groups which comprises the Church of Scientology, then the Creed of the Church of Scientology should also be studiously followed, and I quote.

''"We of the Church believe:
That all men have inalienable rights to their own religious practices and their performance.
That all men have inalienable rights to conceive, choose, assist and support their own organizations, churches and governments.
And that no agency less than God has the power to suspend or set aside these rights overtly or covertly."''

Of course, If the CST, the RTC and the Church of Scientology do not agree with the Creed of the Church of Scientology, or the definition of a scientologist as given in the church official list of definitions by virtue of their propensity to engage in legal frivolous suits, then of course, apart from being a church that does not follow it's own precepts, it could be questioned on it's stated motives for applying legal pressure for the protection of the trademark and copyrights that it does. In other words, is it a commercial enterprise designed solely to make money? If so then that would bring into question its religious status and tax status.

The copyright and trademark laws were set up for the protection of financial interests of business and corporations and it is possible that the RTC and their responsible body of directors, The CST, could conceivably be held liable for the possible accusation of misuse of copyright and trademark laws and perverting the use of the legal system. Now that would be an interesting scenario!

Of course no individual has the monopoly on the spiritual freedom of man. Anyone who deigned to consider themselves a god above all man and to maintain a tight grip on the only key to man's spiritual freedom, paid for and released only through exorbitant financial payments, is eventually going to go the way all past religions and organizations have gone which have attempted to monopolize freedom, and will incur the same derision by man that has been previously incurred.

Anyone who has made a serious study of the Koran and believes and follows the traditions of the Moslem faith is entitled to call themselves a Muslim. Anyone who has studiously studied the Bible and believes in Christ and what he stands for is entitled to call themselves a Christian. Anyone who has similarly made a study of scientology and follows and applies the traditions and practices thereof is also entitled to call themselves a scientologist. None of them are obliged by law to 'belong' to or be subservient to any official church.

Any attempt therefore to reduce ones inalienable right to their religious practice and their performance of scientology would be, at the very least, to any ethical and moral scientologist, a distasteful act, certainly not in the spirit of spiritual freedom which Ron Hubbard intended for the church or even for the spiritual freedom of this planet. There is also the question of course as to whether it is actually legal to do so constitutionally.

The majority of the original scientologists who assisted Ron Hubbard in building up the Church have been ousted since his death. Even his late wife, a tireless supporter and major assistant in developing the technology is persona non gratia. One wonders, if Ron Hubbard were alive now, whether he would be ousted as a heretic and persona non gratia along with his original adherents.

Fortunately, the, Association of Professional Independent Scientologists (APIS), along with many other free organizations, are not cowed or bound under the new regime of the official Church of Scientology. They stand upright and practice their right to call themselves whatever they wish. They believe they are entitled to call themselves scientologists. Independent scientologists. In the original meaning of the term, as per the definition cited above. And are proud to do so.

They also believe:

That a scientologist is one who betters the conditions of himself and the conditions of others by using scientology technology.
That a scientologist is a person, whether an accepted member of the 'official' church or not, who practices and uses the philosophy and technology of scientology to the best of their ability.

That a scientologist is one who understands life. His technical skill is devoted to the resolution of the problems of life
That a scientologist is a specialist in spiritual and human affairs.

And that lastly, a scientologist is not one who lives in fear of 'what the church may do' for then be would not be being a scientologist but would be something else.

Man's spiritual freedom does not depend upon one man's whim or a private organizations obsession for protecting financially lucrative copyrights and trademarks as being more important that mans spiritual freedom. That way spiritual freedom will simply go down the tubes.

Man's spiritual freedom depends upon that individual who will stand up for his or her rights and be the scientologist of which Ron would be proud.

I just discovered that this happens when the two numbers at the top are added incorrectly. I added the number correctly and the MediaWiki error notice disappeared. So that is what it is.

Part of ensuring this was done was the establishment of a church to act as a custodian for the technology so that it was not altered or misapplied, resulting in less or no results through misunderstanding and misapplication.

Unfortunately, since the demise of Ron Hubbard, 'changes' to the technology and the application have been made that violate this principle. Some of these may be found documented at http://scientologistsfreezone.com among other websites. In fact it is said now that the 'orthodox' church intends to rewrite all of L. Ron Hubbard's work, including the original Dianetics: the Modern Science of Mental Health on the possible basis that the public are too stupid to understand it. This, if true, would be a radical and major departure from the 'original scriptures', as the church likes to call them in court. So what philosophy is the church protecting?

At this point a very brief summary of the structure of the church would be beneficial. At the top of the lucrative fiscal food chain you have the Church of Spiritual Technology (CST). Contrary to the name this is not actually a church but a privately owned corporation.

The CST owns the Religious Technology Center (RTC), another privately owed business, which owns some trademarks and copyrights somehow acquired at or around the death of the Founder L. Ron Hubbard. They license these trademarks and copyrights to the CSI who have first rights to the use of the trademarks and copyrights but legally and, if felt so disposed, could rescind this license at anytime.

So the Church of Scientology does not actually own the copyrights or trademarks it uses, but pays a private company for the right to use them. This amounts to millions of dollars per year. Being a private company no financial statements or balance sheets are issued by the CST at any time. The directors are, for the most part, NOT scientologists. Their directors fees are not disclosed and the use of the many millions of dollars obtained is not disclosed either.

But what has this to do with the attempt to monopolies the word scientologist you may ask?

There are many people outside of the church who have either been booted out or have no wish to belong to the official church. In fact almost ALL of the original experienced scientologists who assisted Ron Hubbard in building up the church and the Saint Hill organizations to their now former, glory have all been excommunicated or, in church parlance, 'declared'. However that does not immediately mean they are no longer scientologists. Just no longer members of the official church. The two states are not synonymous.

The definition of a scientologist as per the published works of Ron Hubbard, as written by the originator of the philosophy and technology himself specifically in the book, "The Dianetics and Scientology Technical Dictionary'" by L. Ron Hubbard, published by Author Services, a name by which the RTC goes by, states:

''SCIENTOLOGIST, 1. One who betters the conditions of himself and the conditions of others by using Scn technology. 2. One who controls persons, environments and situations. A Scientologist operates within the boundaries of the Auditor's Code and the Code of a Scientologist. 3. One who understands life. His technical skill is devoted to the resolution of the problems of life. 4. A specialist in spiritual and human affairs.''

Looking very carefully, I do not see it mentioned anywhere in that officially approved definition, that one is obliged to be an officially approved member of the Church of Scientology. One can be independent. The word scientologist is not a label of identity but of a practice and adherence to a code of conduct.

The word scientology itself does not mean, that which is owned by the Church of Scientology and that which can only be practiced by the church known as the Church of Scientology. Indeed in that very same dictionary the word is defined as , "…a science of life. It is the one thing senior to life because it handles all the factors of life. It contains the data necessary to live as a free being. A reality in Scientology is a reality on life."

Indeed there is probably legal cause to object to the registration of the words 'Scientology' , 'Hubbard' and 'L. Ron Hubbard', as a generic name for a religion (which the church was keen to have established by the High Court in the USA) interestingly enough, and respectively the name L. Ron Hubbard and Hubbard is a name of an individual.

And as Ron Hubbard himself pointed out on more than one occasion,

''"I know no man who has any monopoly upon the wisdom of this universe. It belongs to those who can use it to help themselves and others."''

And

''"People look on this as being 'my science'. Yeah, I own all of your postulates. I bought them one day at a raffle. Like the devil I did! About the only thing, as I told you the other day, that I have done is organize and put together, and maybe I can look a little bit better than anybody else has been looking for a long time, and so I can see it. But if you can see it, well, so help me Pete, it's yours. Got that?"

Presuming that the RTC agree with the tenets of L. Ron Hubbard, who founded the very groups which comprises the Church of Scientology, then the Creed of the Church of Scientology should also be studiously followed, and I quote.

That all men have inalienable rights to their own religious practices and their performance.
That all men have inalienable rights to conceive, choose, assist and support their own organizations, churches and governments.
And that no agency less than God has the power to suspend or set aside these rights overtly or covertly."''

Of course, If the CST, the RTC and the Church of Scientology do not agree with the Creed of the Church of Scientology, or the definition of a scientologist as given in the church official list of definitions by virtue of their propensity to engage in legal frivolous suits, then of course, apart from being a church that does not follow it's own precepts, it could be questioned on it's stated motives for applying legal pressure for the protection of the trademark and copyrights that it does. In other words, is it a commercial enterprise designed solely to make money? If so then that would bring into question its religious status and tax status.

The copyright and trademark laws were set up for the protection of financial interests of business and corporations and it is possible that the RTC and their responsible body of directors, The CST, could conceivably be held liable for the possible accusation of misuse of copyright and trademark laws and perverting the use of the legal system. Now that would be an interesting scenario!

Of course no individual has the monopoly on the spiritual freedom of man. Anyone who deigned to consider themselves a god above all man and to maintain a tight grip on the only key to man's spiritual freedom, paid for and released only through exorbitant financial payments, is eventually going to go the way all past religions and organizations have gone which have attempted to monopolize freedom, and will incur the same derision by man that has been previously incurred.

Anyone who has made a serious study of the Koran and believes and follows the traditions of the Moslem faith is entitled to call themselves a Muslim. Anyone who has studiously studied the Bible and believes in Christ and what he stands for is entitled to call themselves a Christian. Anyone who has similarly made a study of scientology and follows and applies the traditions and practices thereof is also entitled to call themselves a scientologist. None of them are obliged by law to 'belong' to or be subservient to any official church.

Any attempt therefore to reduce ones inalienable right to their religious practice and their performance of scientology would be, at the very least, to any ethical and moral scientologist, a distasteful act, certainly not in the spirit of spiritual freedom which Ron Hubbard intended for the church or even for the spiritual freedom of this planet. There is also the question of course as to whether it is actually legal to do so constitutionally.

The majority of the original scientologists who assisted Ron Hubbard in building up the Church have been ousted since his death. Even his late wife, a tireless supporter and major assistant in developing the technology is persona non gratia. One wonders, if Ron Hubbard were alive now, whether he would be ousted as a heretic and persona non gratia along with his original adherents.

Fortunately, the, Association of Professional Independent Scientologists (APIS), along with many other free organizations, are not cowed or bound under the new regime of the official Church of Scientology. They stand upright and practice their right to call themselves whatever they wish. They believe they are entitled to call themselves scientologists. Independent scientologists. In the original meaning of the term, as per the definition cited above. And are proud to do so.

They also believe:

That a scientologist is one who betters the conditions of himself and the conditions of others by using scientology technology.
That a scientologist is a person, whether an accepted member of the 'official' church or not, who practices and uses the philosophy and technology of scientology to the best of their ability.

That a scientologist is one who understands life. His technical skill is devoted to the resolution of the problems of life
That a scientologist is a specialist in spiritual and human affairs.

And that lastly, a scientologist is not one who lives in fear of 'what the church may do' for then be would not be being a scientologist but would be something else.

Man's spiritual freedom does not depend upon one man's whim or a private organizations obsession for protecting financially lucrative copyrights and trademarks as being more important that mans spiritual freedom. That way spiritual freedom will simply go down the tubes.

Man's spiritual freedom depends upon that individual who will stand up for his or her rights and be the scientologist of which Ron would be proud.

It provides a reason to enforce law and order, assists in reducing the population and therefore make the remainder easier to manage.

So our purpose is not having the masses rise up. No, that is a dead end. Our purpose is to make them aware of their true nature and their true abilities. Imagine what that would do to society!

Now, we are fortunate that the planet contains the bridge or way out of the labyrinth man has trapped himself in. Of course those interested in the subjugation of man are not interested in this bridge as it flies directly opposite to their purposes. And most people's level of responsibility has dropped to the degree where they also have little interest in this bridge. Never the less we do have a level of responsibility to get this bridge into the hands of as many people as possible. Not in direct defiance of those interested in controlling man, or in direct defiance of those uninterested in anything except sensation, but in the pure and simple interest of awakening man from the ignorance it currently finds itself.

Ron Hubbard has written a lot on the subject of resistance and the above quote, written in the 50s is never as poignant as it is today. Even today it can be clearly seen in the USA that resistance to fascism has been so strong that the current US regime is now drawing closer and closer to a full dramatization of fascism. Even the previous President (Bush) was quoted as saying, “It would be easier if we were a dictatorship … and I was the dictator.”

In the US currently new laws or legislation is being passed to restrict the freedom of Americans ‘in the name of “the war against terror”.' Of course resisting “terror” means that the USA now has an internal people police force unparalleled in their history. A Homeland security force. Accountability difficulties making it hard for citizens to get any action to police brutality which is on the up rise.

Laws have just been passed by the current US President to allow the detention of any American Citizen without cause anytime. All these indicators show a slow trend towards more and more restrictions and a closer approach to dictatorism.

A past President signed an enactment called Presidential Order 51 which basically gives him Cart Blanche to run the country as a dictator and also put off future elections.

Campaigns are afoot to disarm every American citizen so only the armed forces and enforcement forces will have the right to bear arms. In Australia this has already been done. Of course it does not stop crime any more than enacting legislation does to stop crime. (Criminals have no sense of morals so are hardly likely to stop committing crimes just because a law has been passed. – In fact crime tends to increase where regulation increases. Criminal still carry guns and shoot people. Only in a disarmed society the general population has no way of defending themselves.) but it is a further step to controlling the citizens of a country.

Any resistance, especially when does not have the technology to understand confront, resistance and responsibility, is sure to result in getting exactly what one resists. The Western world has ‘resisted’ fascism just as the Church of scientology has resisted attacks from the government and others resulting in it going into agreement with the very principles it was bound to … resist.

And as it is all done on a gradient it is difficult to pin point exactly where freedom stops and a dictatorship begins.

Naomi Wolfe a progressive writer has pointed out the ten steps needed to turn a nation into a dictatorship and create a fascist state.

These ten steps are:
# Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy.
# Create secret prisons where torture takes place.
# Develop a thug caste or paramilitary force not answerable to citizens.
# Set up an internal surveillance system.
# Harass citizens' groups.
# Engage in arbitrary detention and release.

# Declare all dissent to be treason.
# Suspend the rule of law.

Currently all bar No. 10 have been put in place or are in the process of being put in place. No 10 is about to be.

Of course it is not all doom and gloom. Provided one is a ‘good’ citizen and complies with the authorities (note I did not say comply with the law as that will soon be suspended) then one has nothing to fear.

Most citizens of the US do not know this, do not care and basically do not observe, being stuck in the dramatization and interested only in their own appetite for sensation, gratuitously supplied by TV, media and the PR machine.

From our point of view then, being three feet back of societies head, it is important that we understand what is going on. We need to be very much aware of the dramatizations occurring and what the future holds.

Our position does not change however. We do not become embroiled in partisan activities to save the planet. We have a more pan determined approach. We are in the business of freeing people from the basic dramatization, not by convincing them or changing them or even making them aware of the existing scene around them. As people raise up their awareness they will see the as-isness for themselves.

It is more a case of a raising the individual up out of the dramatization effect so the individual is no longer the effect even when surrounded by it on all sides. We are simply taking people, on their on cognizance, out of the dramatization game by increasing their awareness to a point where they are no longer unconsciously playing that abberated game and where they have no desire or agreement to do so. It is like raising someone out of the mad so the see the mud around them and no long have to be part of the mud they thought created them.

The original (You will not find it in the new books) End Phenomena (EP) of OT 3 is Freedom from overwhelm. And this is truly the EP of that level. And this is what we seek for as many people as possible. The return of their own determinism and then less likely to have any agreements with games of a lower tone.

Ron Hubbard has written a lot on the subject of resistance and the above quote, written in the 50s is never as poignant as it is today. Even today it can be clearly seen in the USA that resistance to fascism has been so strong that the current US regime is now drawing closer and closer to a full dramatization of fascism. Even the previous President (Bush) was quoted as saying, “It would be easier if we were a dictatorship … and I was the dictator.”

In the US currently new laws or legislation is being passed to restrict the freedom of Americans ‘in the name of “the war against terror”.' Of course resisting “terror” means that the USA now has an internal people police force unparalleled in their history. A Homeland security force. Accountability difficulties making it hard for citizens to get any action to police brutality which is on the up rise.

Laws have just been passed by the current US President to allow the detention of any American Citizen without cause anytime. All these indicators show a slow trend towards more and more restrictions and a closer approach to dictatorism.

A past President signed an enactment called Presidential Order 51 which basically gives him Cart Blanche to run the country as a dictator and also put off future elections.

Campaigns are afoot to disarm every American citizen so only the armed forces and enforcement forces will have the right to bear arms. In Australia this has already been done. Of course it does not stop crime any more than enacting legislation does to stop crime. (Criminals have no sense of morals so are hardly likely to stop committing crimes just because a law has been passed. – In fact crime tends to increase where regulation increases. Criminal still carry guns and shoot people. Only in a disarmed society the general population has no way of defending themselves.) but it is a further step to controlling the citizens of a country.

Any resistance, especially when does not have the technology to understand confront, resistance and responsibility, is sure to result in getting exactly what one resists. The Western world has ‘resisted’ fascism just as the Church of scientology has resisted attacks from the government and others resulting in it going into agreement with the very principles it was bound to … resist.

And as it is all done on a gradient it is difficult to pin point exactly where freedom stops and a dictatorship begins.

Naomi Wolfe a progressive writer has pointed out the ten steps needed to turn a nation into a dictatorship and create a fascist state.

These ten steps are:
# Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy.
# Create secret prisons where torture takes place.
# Develop a thug caste or paramilitary force not answerable to citizens.
# Set up an internal surveillance system.
# Harass citizens' groups.
# Engage in arbitrary detention and release.
# Target key individuals.
# Control the press.
# Declare all dissent to be treason.
# Suspend the rule of law.

Currently all bar No. 10 have been put in place or are in the process of being put in place. No 10 is about to be.

Of course it is not all doom and gloom. Provided one is a ‘good’ citizen and complies with the authorities (note I did not say comply with the law as that will soon be suspended) then one has nothing to fear.

Most citizens of the US do not know this, do not care and basically do not observe, being stuck in the dramatization and interested only in their own appetite for sensation, gratuitously supplied by TV, media and the PR machine.

From our point of view then, being three feet back of societies head, it is important that we understand what is going on. We need to be very much aware of the dramatizations occurring and what the future holds.

Our position does not change however. We do not become embroiled in partisan activities to save the planet. We have a more pan determined approach. We are in the business of freeing people from the basic dramatization, not by convincing them or changing them or even making them aware of the existing scene around them. As people raise up their awareness they will see the as-isness for themselves.

It is more a case of a raising the individual up out of the dramatization effect so the individual is no longer the effect even when surrounded by it on all sides. We are not in the business of resisting the current or past regimes. We are simply taking people, on their on cognizance, out of the dramatization game by increasing their awareness to a point where they are no longer unconsciously playing that abberated game and where they have no desire or agreement to do so. It is like raising someone out of the mad so the see the mud around them and no long have to be part of the mud they thought created them.

And this is what we seek for as many people as possible. The return of their own determinism and then less likely to have any agreements with games of a lower tone.

Indeed in that very same dictionary the word is defined as, “a science of life. It is the one thing senior to life because it handles all the factors of life. It contains the data necessary to live as a free being. A reality in Scientology is a reality on life.”

Lafayette Ron Hubbard himself pointed out,

"I know no man who has any monopoly upon the wisdom of this universe. It belongs to those who can use it to help themselves and others."

Presuming that the RTC agree with the tenets of Ron Hubbard, who founded the very groups which comprises the Church of Scientology, then the Creed of the Church of Scientology should also should be studiously followed, quote.

:"We of the Church believe:
:
:That all men have inalienable rights to their own religious practices and their performance.
:
:That all men have inalienable rights to conceive, choose, assist and support their own organizations, churches and governments.
:And that no agency less than God has the power to suspend or set aside these rights overtly or covertly.”

I venture to believe the Church of Scientology to be less than God.

The second fallacy is that this definition precludes anyone not in good standing with the church. This defines anyone below the condition of non existence in the church is instantly not a scientologist. It defines anyone in the RPF as a non scientologist. This means that anyone in the RPF is legally free to leave anytime and holding them against their will could be construed as kidnapping at best and sweatshop labor at worse as technically, by their own definition, they are holding non scientologists captive.

The third fallacy is that there are, in fact, many scientologists who are NOT members of the church, either because they have been barred from the church for some real or imagined reason, or have left of their own accord or simply never entered the church but practice the philosophy outside of the church. These people come under the definition as found in the technical dictionary definition given above.

In fact this is more a covert attempt to monopolize the word rather than clearly define it. The word ‘scientologist’ cannot, in fact, be copyright since it is a generic term to describe a person who follows and/or believes in the philosophy and religion of scientology. One does not need to be a member of a church to do that. One simply needs to follow and agree with the precepts of scientology as laid down by the Founder Lafayette Ron Hubbard.

Anyone who has made a serious study of the Koran and believes and follows the traditions of the Moslem faith is entitled to call themselves a Muslim. Anyone who has studiously studied the Bible and believes in Christ and what he stands for is entitled to call themselves a Christian. Anyone who has similarly made a study of scientology and follows and applies the traditions and practices thereof is also entitled to call themselves a scientologist. None of them are obliged by law to 'belong' to or be subservient to any official church.

Moreover, the Catholic Church does not demand that only Catholics can be called Christians. Orthodox Judaism does not insist that all Jews be a member of the orthodox religion or not be allowed to call themselves Jews. I know of no other religion, except some minor cults, such as the Brethren for example, who deny or attempt to deny a person the right to call themselves what they choose.

This is, then, not the mark of a religion for the people. The most successful religions in the world are not those that exclude people. They are those that include people.

Any attempt therefore to reduce ones inalienable right to their religious practice and their performance of scientology would be, at the very least, to any ethical and moral scientologist, a distasteful act, certainly not in the spirit of spiritual freedom which Ron Hubbard intended for the church or even for the spiritual freedom of this planet. There is also the question of course as to whether it is actually legal to do so constitutionally.

The majority of the original scientologists who assisted Ron Hubbard in building up the Church have been ousted since his death. Even his late wife, Mary Sue Hubbard, a tireless supporter and major contributor in developing the technology is persona non gratia as far as the Church is concerned. One wonders, if Ron Hubbard were alive now, whether he would be ousted as persona non gratia along with his original adherents.

Fortunately, the International Freezone Association, along with many other free organizations, are not cowed or bound under the new regime of the official Church of Scientology. They stand upright and practice their right to call themselves whatever they wish. They believe they are entitled to call themselves scientologists. Independent scientologists, in the original meaning of the term, as per the definition cited above. And are proud to do so.

They also believe:

:That a scientologist is one who betters the conditions of himself and the conditions of others by using scientology technology.

:That scientologist is a person, whether an accepted member of the ‘official’ church or not, who practices and uses the philosophy and technology of scientology to the best of their ability.

:That a scientologist is one who understands life. His technical skill is devoted to the resolution of the problems of life

:And that lastly, a scientologist is not one who lives in fear of 'what the church may do'.

Anyone who has similarly made a study of scientology and follows and applies the traditions and practices thereof is also entitled to call themselves a scientologist. Moreover, the Catholic Church does not demand that only Catholics can be called Christians. Orthodox Judaism does not insist that all Jews be a member of the orthodox religion or not be allowed to call themselves Jews. I know of no other religion, except some minor cults, such as the Brethren for example, who deny or attempt to deny a person the right to call themselves what they choose.

This is, then, not the mark of a religion for the people. The most successful religions in the world are not those that exclude people. They are those that include people.

Any attempt therefore to reduce ones inalienable right to their religious practice and their performance of scientology would be, at the very least, to any ethical and moral scientologist, a distasteful act, certainly not in the spirit of spiritual freedom which Ron Hubbard intended for the church or even for the spiritual freedom of this planet. There is also the question of course as to whether it is actually legal to do so constitutionally.

The majority of the original scientologists who assisted Ron Hubbard in building up the Church have been ousted since his death. Even his late wife, Mary Sue Hubbard, a tireless supporter and major contributor in developing the technology is persona non gratia as far as the Church is concerned. One wonders, if Ron Hubbard were alive now, whether he would be ousted as persona non gratia along with his original adherents.

Fortunately, the International Freezone Association, along with many other free organizations, are not cowed or bound under the new regime of the official Church of Scientology. They stand upright and practice their right to call themselves whatever they wish. They believe they are entitled to call themselves scientologists. Independent scientologists, in the original meaning of the term, as per the definition cited above. And are proud to do so.

They also believe:

:That a scientologist is one who betters the conditions of himself and the conditions of others by using scientology technology.

:That scientologist is a person, whether an accepted member of the ‘official’ church or not, who practices and uses the philosophy and technology of scientology to the best of their ability.

Since a bevy of sites which include the word, scientologist in the name have appeared the Church of scientology have attempted to redefine the word 'scientologist' by calling it 'a collective membership mark designating members of the affiliated churches and missions of Scientology.'

Apart from the jocular reference to being a 'collective', there are a number of fallacies to this.

The first is that the word scientologist has already been defined by Lafayette Ron Hubbard as the following:

Looking carefully I see no where in this definition where it says that a person is only a scientologist by virtue of being a member of the church in good standing or that one is obliged to be an officially approved member of the Church of Scientology.

The word scientology itself does not mean, that which is owned by the Church of Scientology and that which can only be practiced by the church known as the Church of Scientology. Indeed in that very same dictionary the word is defined as, “a science of life. It is the one thing senior to life because it handles all the factors of life. It contains the data necessary to live as a free being. A reality in Scientology is a reality on life.”

Lafayette Ron Hubbard himself pointed out,

"I know no man who has any monopoly upon the wisdom of this universe. It belongs to those who can use it to help themselves and others."

Presuming that the RTC agree with the tenets of Ron Hubbard, who founded the very groups which comprises the Church of Scientology, then the Creed of the Church of Scientology should also should be studiously followed, quote.

"We of the Church believe:

That all men have inalienable rights to their own religious practices and their performance.

That all men have inalienable rights to conceive, choose, assist and support their own organizations, churches and governments.
And that no agency less than God has the power to suspend or set aside these rights overtly or covertly.”

I venture to believe the Church of Scientology to be less than God.

The second fallacy is that this definition precludes anyone not in good standing with the church. This defines anyone below the condition of non existence in the church is instantly not a scientologist. It defines anyone in the RPF as a non scientologist. This means that anyone in the RPF is legally free to leave anytime and holding them against their will could be construed as kidnapping at best and sweatshop labor at worse as technically, by their own definition, they are holding non scientologists captive.

The third fallacy is that there are, in fact, many scientologists who are NOT members of the church, either because they have been barred from the church for some real or imagined reason, or have left of their own accord or simply never entered the church but practice the philosophy outside of the church. These people come under the definition as found in the technical dictionary definition given above.

In fact this is more a covert attempt to monopolize the word rather than clearly define it. The word ‘scientologist’ cannot, in fact, be copyright since it is a generic term to describe a person who follows and/or believes in the philosophy and religion of scientology. One does not need to be a member of a church to do that. One simply needs to follow and agree with the precepts of scientology as laid down by the Founder Lafayette Ron Hubbard.

Ron Hubbard has written a lot on the subject of resistance and the above quote, written in the 50s is never as poignant as it is today. Even today it can be clearly seen in the USA that resistance to fascism has been so strong that the current US regime is now drawing closer and closer to a full dramatization of fascism. Even the previous President (Bush) was quoted as saying, “It would be easier if we were a dictatorship … and I was the dictator.”

In the US currently new laws or legislation is being passed to restrict the freedom of Americans ‘in the name of “the war against terror”. Of course resisting “terror” means that the USA now has an internal people police force unparalleled in their history. A Homeland security force. Accountability difficulties making it hard for citizens to get any action to police brutality which is on the up rise. US.

Laws have just been passed by the current US President to allow the detention of any American Citizen without cause anytime. All these indicators show a slow trend towards more and more restrictions and a closer approach to dictatorism.

A past President signed an enactment called Presidential Order 51 which basically gives him Cart Blanche to run the country as a dictator and also put off future elections.

Campaigns are afoot to disarm every American citizen so only the armed forces and enforcement forces will have the right to bear arms. In Australia this has already been done. Of course it does not stop crime any more than enacting legislation does to stop crime. (Criminals have no sense of morals so are hardly likely to stop committing crimes just because a law has been passed. – In fact crime tends to increase where regulation increases. Criminal still carry guns and shoot people. Only in a disarmed society the general population has no way of defending themselves.) but it is a further step to controlling the citizens of a country.

Any resistance, especially when does not have the technology to understand confront, resistance and responsibility, is sure to result in getting exactly what one resists. The Western world has ‘resisted’ fascism just as the Church of scientology has resisted attacks from the government and others resulting in it going into agreement with the very principles it was bound to … resist.

And as it is all done on a gradient it is difficult to pin point exactly where freedom stops and a dictatorship begins.

Naomi Wolfe a progressive writer has pointed out the ten steps needed to turn a nation into a dictatorship and create a fascist state.

These ten steps are:
# Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy.
# Create secret prisons where torture takes place.
# Develop a thug caste or paramilitary force not answerable to citizens.
# Set up an internal surveillance system.
# Harass citizens' groups.
# Engage in arbitrary detention and release.
# Target key individuals.
# Control the press.
# Declare all dissent to be treason.
# Suspend the rule of law.

Currently all bar No. 10 have been put in place or are in the process of being put in place. No 10 is about to be.

Of course it is not all doom and gloom. Provided one is a ‘good’ citizen and complies with the authorities (note I did not say comply with the law as that will soon be suspended) then one has nothing to fear.

Most citizens of the US do not know this, do not care and basically do not observe, being stuck in the dramatization and interested only in their own appetite for sensation, gratuitously supplied by TV, media and the PR machine.

"I recall once seeing a Tammany Hall group (A New York Political Bunch whose symbol is a tiger) stop before the tiger’s cage in a zoo. T Cage was empty and they were much disappointed. I was there and said to them “The tiger is out to lunch.” They told those on the outer edge of the group. “The tiger is out to lunch.” They all cheered up, accepted the empty cage and went very happily on their way. Not one said “Lunch?” Or “Who are you?” or laughed at the joke. Even though it was sunset? I pitied the government of New York!"

From our point of view then, being three feet back of societies head, it is important that we understand what is going on. We need to be very much aware of the dramatizations occurring and what the future holds.

Our position does not change however. We do not become embroiled in partisan activities to save the planet. We have a more pan determined approach. We are in the business of freeing people from the basic dramatization, not by convincing them or changing them or even making them aware of the existing scene around them. As people raise up their awareness they will see the as-isness for themselves.

It is more a case of a raising the individual up out of the dramatization effect so the individual is no longer the effect even when surrounded by it on all sides. We are not in the business of resisting the current or past regimes. We are simply taking people, on their on cognizance, out of the dramatization game by increasing their awareness to a point where they are no longer unconsciously playing that abberated game and where they have no desire or agreement to do so. It is like raising someone out of the mad so the see the mud around them and no long have to be part of the mud they thought created them.

The original (You will not find it in the new books) End Phenomena (EP) of OT 3 is Freedom from overwhelm. And this is truly the EP of that level. And this is what we seek for as many people as possible. The return of their own determinism and then less likely to have any agreements with games of a lower tone.

The IFA is designed for just this job. Being an Association it does little other than hold fast to an idea or concept. It does acquire a membership as a supporting feature and provides resources in exchange for that support. It acts as a vanguard to the philosophy it supports and it, quite frankly, matters little if the framework is ever destroyed as it has laid out the idea and concept which is now prevalent and, by agreement with many others, the idea and concept will carry forward into the future.

In the MEST (MEST: A coined term from the initials of Matter, Energy, Space and Time. In short this universe we are residing in) universe the IFA is, registered as a not for profit association in the USA and this will continue until the IFA is registered in many countries on this planet.

The more agreement the IFA has to its existence the more persistence it will have and the more it will pursue its purposes and goals as outlined on the website and the more those purposes and goals will become a reality

Persistence, not resistance is the secret to a long and expanding future for scientology.

The Scientology the Church Forgot

A recent debacle between the Church of Scientology and the British BBC has open the eyes of many independent and past scientologists with regard to the application of the philosophy by the very church itself.

Not too long ago, both sides produced a video which turned out, not to be about scientology, the technology or the philosophy or the religion, but more about defending their own position and attacking the other party.

Screaming and shouting and accusatory words formed the main component of both videos.

None of the basic principles of the philosophy or the applied science and technology were mentioned by either party.

On the part of the BBC one would not really expect any different they being a Media channel. Although the BBC has, in the past, had a proud tradition of being impartial this tradition has been prostituted in an effort to be controversial (and by definition biased) in order to attract more viewers from the commercial channels.

But can the church be forgiven for attacking the BBC with verbal force, not is ness and alter is?

Are they stuck in the past? Unable to handle even the basic and probably now redundant 'cult' accusatory attacks. This was the 60s and 70s all over again. Has nothing been learned? Where was the explanation of the basic principles by which scientologists live? The ARC triangle, granting of beingness? Handling on the tone scale, Improving ones confront and responsibility to handle ones life? Where were the success stories? It was as if the church wanted to lose. All they could do was attack by defending their right to practice their religion, (a right not willingly granted to independent scientologists I might add). One might also consider this is done with malice aforethought. No one can be that 'stoopid!'

It is observable these days that there is little to commend the church.

The Media consider them easy meat for controversy when there is nothing else to keep the masses enthralled. The public generally have no knowledge of what scientology really is except the misemotional and idiotic fodder spewed out by the media. So most people in the west generally, and understandably, consider the church, at best, odd ball, at worse, crazy. The real scientologists in the freezone have no love for the church due to it continuously attacking the Freezone independent scientologists overtly and covertly, as well as evidently being hell bent on self destruction and taking a priceless technology with them.

Seems there is little love for the church all round.

How could an organisation that had the best technology in the world, nay, the universe, that has grown from one man into a world wide organisation worth millions end up on the philosophical slab heap?

Part of the philosophy by Ron includes the statement that statistics do not drop. They are 'held down'. If an organisation is shrinking, doing badly, or even not expanding or, in this case becoming a laughing stock, then the organisation is being help back. The PR statistics are certainly nothing to boast about. Yes they are getting more coverage but at what price? Does not quality figure in here anywhere. Or is quantity the only criteria.

A number of other factors figure in here also. Other pearls of wisdom seem not to be used here. Handling the Public Individual. Using Affinity, Reality and, importantly, communication. Operating a closed shop. Expelling prime and experience individuals from the church. Dramatising the basic principle of A=A and assuming that everyone not in agreement with the church is an SP. Currently this would make the vast majority of people who watch the media SP as well as the 3 or 4 thousand people they have expelled since the demise of the Founder.

Being not quite with Ron in fact (if not in name) by virtue of the mass of changes and the sneaky covert deception practiced on the book buying public by inferring that Ron Hubbard wrote the later editions of books the RTC* produces when he did not. Such books are poorly constructed bits of the philosophy with vital pieces deliberately left out and the name L Ron Hubbard incorporated in the title to give people the impression he wrote the revised editions. Blatantly not true and a deception no less.

With such untruths and lies it is quite understandable that the church has changed course and is now heading in a southerly direction. No religion can survive on lies and deception. It is no wonder they are attacked and vilified and spend inordinate amounts of time working to defend themselves. The truth needs no defense but lies do.

A recent email issued to 12,000 scientologists, and which subsequently made its way into the media, concerning the dubious practices of the current Chairman of the Board (COB) has exposed even more un-scientology like actions by the COB including irregular financial activities and later, physical and mental abuse.

The basic principles of scientology as researched and discovered by L Ron Hubbard hold truth. The understanding of the composite parts of man, the guidelines for improving mans health and well being. The ability to get along with ones fellow man and to aid and assist him to have a better life. All these main parts of the applied philosophy have been forgotten by the Church management.

It is left to the independent Scientologists to spread the word and make people aware of what scientology really is. As a result of the church's activities of late, this has become an uphill battle. But people are still basically good and are still looking for the answers. They will still listen as they do understand that the media is hype and no substance. Go into the street and survey peoples thoughts about the accuracy of the media and you will be surprised how derisory they regard it.

Interestingly as the church slowly disappears into it's own insular world and closes itself off from those it was set up to assist, the independent scientologists are out there paving the way to a fresh and new future with the original philosophy of Ron Hubbard. Helping people and building, step by step, a brighter future for us all.

What is The International Freezone Association?

The International Freezone Association or IFA was launched in June 2005. Actually the germ of the idea was started back before then in January 2004. I had spent 20 years out in the cold from a 10 year on stint on staff in the Sea Organisation. Having come to the conclusion that the Church was a failed entity after the demise of Ron Hubbard, I was stuck wondering how I was going to continue up the bridge until I became aware of the Freezone through the internet a couple of years or so before. It was a delight to see that there were so many working and battling to keep the technology alive. I looked around, found no auditors in the area I was residing and decided, "Michael, if you wait for it to happen it never will. You are going to have to take responsibility yourself and get something done." So I then started up the Australian freezone group, FANZA, In a part selfish move to get more auditors in Australia and in part an effort to bring together more people in this area who were dissatisfied with the church and see if we could get some auditing going and a real group set up.

From there I expanded my horizons and, looking at the state of play in the Freezone and the deteriorating state of the Church, formed the conclusion that, unless something was put into place to safeguard the tech and coordinate all the various groups and individuals in the Freezone, it would also eventually dissipate as people got older and left. The technology, without an organised back up and support and just left in the hands of a few would, with the best will in the world, just fade away.

I decided I did not want just some auditors around. I wanted the technology to be there in the next 50 years or so for when I come back

What was needed, I thought, was a clearly defined group that had, as its prime purpose, maintaining and preserving the technology and ensuring it continues to be used. Also needed was an organisational support structure that actively assisted individuals and groups without infringing their personal liberties or ending up on the same punishment and duress track the Church of Scientology™ (C of S) seemed determined to go down.

'''Structure'''

The Important issue here was the structure. How should it be constructed?

There were three possibilities I thought.

* A church or religion.
* A company or business organisation
* An independent free association of peoples

I rejected the church option. It has been demonstrated that it is open to misuse and vulnerable to possible attack. It would also be in direct competition with the C of S and could cause conflicts with individuals. Were they scientologists or not? In view of the C of S’s current activities this is already a matter of confusion for some. Besides which, there was also the issue of restimulating past church experiences. No, too complicated. Need something simpler I thought.

A company or business organisation, although independent is also subject to possible attack. Any business organisation is subject to the laws of the country in which it is registered including the tax laws. In addition the C of S has made plain the frailty of having a business corporation in control of a church. A company or corporation can be subject to take overs and other unsavoury activities. It also suffers limitations on what it can do and is generally money motivated. That was out.

That left an Association.

'''Advantages of an association'''

An Association, while not the most optimum solution perhaps, certainly seemed the best one.

• It is non profit making.
• It is not subject to take overs or the problems besetting corporations.
• It is not subject to tax or the tax implications are minimal (if registered in the right country).
• There are no religious complications to undergo and attacks, if it was done right, would be minimal. An association does not have the same difficulties as a religion does.
• It has guidelines on how to act or comport oneself.
• It would not restimulate past experiences within this field yet can provide similar support and some of the facilities needed by people with a common agreement.
• It is essentially based on an idea or purpose so has a higher motivation level.

For the price of a nominal membership fee, associations can traditionally offer various facilities at reduced costs for members since there is no driving urge to create a profit but simply to invest its proceeds in itself and it’s members and expand on its ideals.

An association is a co-operation between people who agree on the principles of the association. It can also provide the sort of umbrella protection and support needed without to many demands upon its members and can carry forward the purposes for which it is constructed.

In short, an association would be ideal. People belong on their own determinism and the association is effective to the degree that its members participate, use and continue to support it.

In addition it is simplicity itself to set up. Which suited me very well. If something is simple there is a good chance I can do it.

So I set about constructing the IFA.

The backbone of the IFA is the Constitution. This lays out the ground rules. The boundaries in the game if you like. Here is delineated what the association and its members can and cannot do. This document protects the IFA, it strengthens it and binds it together. It is the agreement upon which the IFA is constructed. It is important to note that, although I set up and put in place the constitution document, many other experienced individuals in the Freezone gave much of their time with some valuable contributions and vital assistance, helping with the fine tuning, discovering loop holes and working on ways to close them. It is doubtful that the constitution would be as robust as it is today or the IFA would be as workable and effective as it is without those contributions.

The IFA has a number of purposes outlined. These purposes indicate the direction the IFA is travelling.

The 3 Prime Purposes are:

• Preserve the exact technology and original workable philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard for future use so it is available for all mankind.
• Protect the exact technology and original workable philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard so it is not altered, diluted or changed in anyway but remains exactly as Lafayette Ron Hubbard issued it.

Producing more web sites and links so that the freezone presence on the net is increased. Getting the Freezone out of non existence on this planet so people can find out that all is not lost and there is an alternative

It is a place one can go to find useful facilities and tools to assist one in the playing of the game and in forwarding the purposes of preserving, protecting and promoting the priceless technology we have. What is The International Freezone Association?

The International Freezone Association or IFA was launched in June 2005. Actually the germ of the idea was started back before then in January 2004. I had spent 20 years out in the cold from a 10 year on stint on staff in the Sea Organisation. Having come to the conclusion that the Church was a failed entity after the demise of Ron Hubbard, I was stuck wondering how I was going to continue up the bridge until I became aware of the Freezone through the internet a couple of years or so before. It was a delight to see that there were so many working and battling to keep the technology alive. I looked around, found no auditors in the area I was residing and decided, "Michael, if you wait for it to happen it never will. You are going to have to take responsibility yourself and get something done." So I then started up the Australian freezone group, FANZA, In a part selfish move to get more auditors in Australia and in part an effort to bring together more people in this area who were dissatisfied with the church and see if we could get some auditing going and a real group set up.

From there I expanded my horizons and, looking at the state of play in the Freezone and the deteriorating state of the Church, formed the conclusion that, unless something was put into place to safeguard the tech and coordinate all the various groups and individuals in the Freezone, it would also eventually dissipate as people got older and left. The technology, without an organised back up and support and just left in the hands of a few would, with the best will in the world, just fade away.

I decided I did not want just some auditors around. I wanted the technology to be there in the next 50 years or so for when I come back

What was needed, I thought, was a clearly defined group that had, as its prime purpose, maintaining and preserving the technology and ensuring it continues to be used. Also needed was an organisational support structure that actively assisted individuals and groups without infringing their personal liberties or ending up on the same punishment and duress track the Church of Scientology™ (C of S) seemed determined to go down.

The Important issue here was the structure. How should it be constructed?

There were three possibilities I thought.

* A church or religion.
* A company or business organisation
* An independent free association of peoples

I rejected the church option. It has been demonstrated that it is open to misuse and vulnerable to possible attack. It would also be in direct competition with the C of S and could cause conflicts with individuals. Were they scientologists or not? In view of the C of S’s current activities this is already a matter of confusion for some. Besides which, there was also the issue of restimulating past church experiences. No, too complicated. Need something simpler I thought.

A company or business organisation, although independent is also subject to possible attack. Any business organisation is subject to the laws of the country in which it is registered including the tax laws. In addition the C of S has made plain the frailty of having a business corporation in control of a church. A company or corporation can be subject to take overs and other unsavoury activities. It also suffers limitations on what it can do and is generally money motivated. That was out.

That left an Association.

'''Advantages of an association'''

An Association, while not the most optimum solution perhaps, certainly seemed the best one.

• It is non profit making.
• It is not subject to take overs or the problems besetting corporations.
• It is not subject to tax or the tax implications are minimal (if registered in the right country).
• There are no religious complications to undergo and attacks, if it was done right, would be minimal. An association does not have the same difficulties as a religion does.
• It has guidelines on how to act or comport oneself.
• It would not restimulate past experiences within this field yet can provide similar support and some of the facilities needed by people with a common agreement.
• It is essentially based on an idea or purpose so has a higher motivation level.

For the price of a nominal membership fee, associations can traditionally offer various facilities at reduced costs for members since there is no driving urge to create a profit but simply to invest its proceeds in itself and it’s members and expand on its ideals.

An association is a co-operation between people who agree on the principles of the association. It can also provide the sort of umbrella protection and support needed without to many demands upon its members and can carry forward the purposes for which it is constructed.

In short, an association would be ideal. People belong on their own determinism and the association is effective to the degree that its members participate, use and continue to support it.

In addition it is simplicity itself to set up. Which suited me very well. If something is simple there is a good chance I can do it.

So I set about constructing the IFA.

The backbone of the IFA is the Constitution. This lays out the ground rules. The boundaries in the game if you like. Here is delineated what the association and its members can and cannot do. This document protects the IFA, it strengthens it and binds it together. It is the agreement upon which the IFA is constructed. It is important to note that, although I set up and put in place the constitution document, many other experienced individuals in the Freezone gave much of their time with some valuable contributions and vital assistance, helping with the fine tuning, discovering loop holes and working on ways to close them. It is doubtful that the constitution would be as robust as it is today or the IFA would be as workable and effective as it is without those contributions.

The IFA has a number of purposes outlined. These purposes indicate the direction the IFA is travelling.

The 3 Prime Purposes are:

• Preserve the exact technology and original workable philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard for future use so it is available for all mankind.
• Protect the exact technology and original workable philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard so it is not altered, diluted or changed in anyway but remains exactly as Lafayette Ron Hubbard issued it.
• Promote the exact technology and original workable philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard so it may be known by all mankind.

I thought perhaps a section on well known people in Scientology and their biographies might be a good idea. Would help to drawn some more google and other search engine attention.

If you check out the middle column in http://the-scientologist.com/ you will see a list of people in scientology, Not all famous perhaps (although they could be added, I have a lost of those also)but each has played a part in Scientology and there are lots more than could be added.

Investment means to put something of value into something else with a view to getting back more than one originally put in.

This can mean to invest money in stocks, shares, a company or even property of some sort. It can be to put something of value such as one’s experience or time into a venture with the hope of getting a better return. Investing in ones children’s future by sending them to a good school is an example.
Yes, it can mean investing in the future by means of savings, putting money into things as given above. It can also mean enhancing ones own abilities, knowledge and spiritual awareness. This is the sort of investment we are interested in here.

How DO you invest in the future?

In this sense, as per the definition above you put into yourself that which will give a better return for your future. Which future are we talking about? Your physical well being? Not exactly. Are we talking about your future as regards physical wealth? Not that either as it happens. We are talking about something that will last somewhat longer than your physical body or your physical possessions.

And that something is YOU.

I believe it is well understood in scientology circles that an individual is immortal. We will continue to live regardless. The future goes on. We will continue to be. But it is the quality of life or beingness that we are looking at here.

What sort of life do we want for the future? How WELL do we want to live in the future? Do we want to live in a solid miserable down toned existence or do we wish to have a light carefree up toned future? What we do here and now determines our future. Making sure that one gets the best possible auditor to audit one up the bridge, weather it is an auditor on the grades or Dianetics, or training up to be the best solo auditor you can be.

Imagine. You get on a plane to fly off somewhere and the pilot states, just before take off that, "The best pilot is unavailable today and he", confessing to be a somewhat mediocre pilot, "would be flying the plane". Can you imagine the mad scrabble for the door? Who wants a mediocre pilot? You want the best pilot available to fly that plane right!

In the supermarket, do you pick the oldest most tired looking fruit? Or do you look for the freshest available?

For an investment into your future beingness, which auditor would be preferable?

An auditor who cannot audit?
A mediocre auditor?
An auditor who does not follow standard technology but wanders all over the place and audits what he 'thinks' is right for the preclear?
The best auditor available?

And what about the C/S? LRH States that there should be a C/S. In fact he wrote a WHOLE series on C/Sing, that’s how important LRH thought it was.
So what quality of C/S would be preferable?
No C/S
A Mediocre C/S
Or the best, most knowledgeable, experienced C/S available?

Despite the fact that the answers are fairly obvious it seems this can be sometimes overlooked. In a mad rush to get up the bridge an 'anything is better than nothing' attitude can be adopted. The phase, "Any auditing is better than no auditing" does not mean '''not''' having to apply the tech. It is not an excuse for squirrel or alterised tech. It is not really applicable where there is a choice of auditors. It is not a way of 'saving' money or time. At best it is a stop gap. At worse, it is used as an excuse instead of a tool. It robs an individual of the best investment into their future.

So the question is, how much are you prepared to invest in your future? How much are you prepared to spend in terms of time and effort to ensure that your future is assured. What sort of pilot do you want flying '''YOUR''' plane?

The person that goes out of their way, moving heaven and earth, staying focused on their goal and using some intention and confront and demanding only the best for the investment into their future will get exactly what they put there. A bright, rewarding and up toned future. And that is by insisting only upon standard tech as researched and developed by Lafayette Ron Hubbard. Ensuring that the auditor and C/S are the best possible so that one’s future is assured.

And that, after all, is what we all desire, yes?

Let's remove any possible stigma associated with the words scientology organization.

The Church is not the only scientology organization on this planet. There are others. They may not be called scientology organizations but, by definition, if they use and or apply scientology and they are a group of two or more people working together by agreement as a team, then they are a scientology organization.

An organization consists of communication lines and terminals. It does not consist of the why. It is a structure. The why is the reason for the organization, Not the organization itself. An experience with one particular organization does not equate with other organizations. To so do is an A =A.

One does not rail against a car that has done some damage. One rails against the driver. And one does not also complaint bitterly about all organizations simply as a result of a bad experience with the people of one. Sometimes I hear, “Oh no! not another organization! That immediately tells me that person cannot differentiate between organizations and those that run them. Cannot differentiate between the cars and their drivers in other words. There are many scientology organizations. Each different in structure, time, place, form and, most importantly, usually with different intentions. They are basically groups that use and apply scientology. Some standardly some not so standardly. Some hardly at all. Some are strictly LRH. Some, like the C of S, are more organization and less LRH. The IFA is a scientology organization. It is in the form of an association. It uses the principles and workable philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard as do many groups.

The Freezone is a scientology organization that contains within it other scientology organizations. IFA, ICAUSE,
Freezone Japan, Robles, ROC among many others. All small and large group, the RO Orgs, the small groups of
auditors scattered around the planet, in the US, the UK, Australia, Russia, Europe and elsewhere are organizations
that use scientology are therefore scientology organizations to some degree or another.

With the above in mind the following quote does not just apply to the C of S although they probably need to apply it
more than most.

This is our chance to 'do a good job', Our chance to raise above the considerations that 'all organizations are bad' and 'I don’t need an organization or a team to back me up'. We do need each other. I have yet to meet the most perfect person in the world who needs no one.

I just come back from leave in Tasmania. A beautiful island In Ausatralia with a temperate climate and a very stress free environment. A great enjoyable holiday.

A few years ago there was one of these mad crazy gunmen ran amuck in a place called Port Arthur on the island. It is a tourist resort and a historical landmark where, many years ago, convicts from England were shipped many years ago when England used Australia as a prison.

Anyway, not long ago, a crazy person who was on psycho drugs took a machine gun and killed about 35 people there. I mention this because I and my wife visited the resort as part of our holiday.

While we were there, we walked through the spot were the massacre happened. I could still feel the shock even after, what ten years ago it happened? Anyway I looked around and there were still Beings sitting around in a state of shock. I could feel them. The emotion was distressful and they had not recovered from what had happened after they had died.

I began to comm with them one by one and told them it is ok now, it is over and you can leave now. Three picked up on this with great relief and left the area immediately. Another one took a bit longer. I had to take him through the incident about three times before he could end cycle and felt up to going. I told him to go and get another body then find an auditor and get the incident fully run out and then he finally left. All this just took a few seconds but the relief was so great I could feel it myself.

The area felt much freer afterwards and I was real happy to have had the opportunity and the ability to help.

I have read about this sort of thing in the early advance mags. Now I know what it is like. It is great to be OT!

As far as my auditing with you has gone, I have found you to be an exemplary auditor with tremendous ARC, a deft handling of the meter and great TRs. I have thoroughly enjoyed being audited by you. My gains have been many and varied. As you know my com level and my ARC for my fellow man has improved noticeably. My ability to BE with others is much more stable and unshakable. My ARC and affection for my wife has also improved and I have been helping out more around the house. I finished painting our bathroom which had remained unfinished for a year or more! Well that's it for now.

On the Drug Rundown I feel unbothered by drugs I have done and there are no more past upsets from drugs. Another nice win was I gained a greater certainty of past lives. I feel good in general in the area of drugs and alcohol I have taken and don't feel bad about the drugs I've done anymore.

I've seen the connectedness of it all from age 5 to the most recent drug use. It was all disconnected, different groups of time and space. The rundown showed me the early setups and how I built off of them. I can now see that when my past thoughts and actions weren't dealt with, things snowballed into later years until my case was unmanageable and interaction from outside was needed.
